tense 5 part thriller

from the ones who made line of duty and vigil …..

joe (aiden turner) a clinical psychologist is called in to offer his expertise after a body of a young woman is found in a london cemetery

when Di Vincent Ruiz (Shaun Parker) and his new partner Ds Riya Devi show him the body their suspicions are aroused by his reaction

is he shocked by the brutality of the murder or is there something he didn’t telling the police

joe has been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and starts acting strangely

I do love a good thriller /drama so Hope will be good

At the moment I'm guessing the wife is the killer, but maybe that's too obvious.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/08/2022 22:04

Sooooo did he do it

is that the twist

or is he innocent

Did you watch 'Ridley' on itv last night Blondes? I thought it was pretty disappointing, a waste of Honest Ted. Agree about the Capture. Gripping.

I did. There a thread I did about it

i enjoyed. Easy watching but loving the capture

The Capture is way more gripping and fast moving than this. Although I will continue to watch coz I think it is going to be more complex than it seems so far

the80sweregreat · 29/08/2022 22:09

I think it could be his wife ( don't know her name )
It's too obvious to be him , surely?
I liked it though , nice shots of London too

the80sweregreat · 29/08/2022 22:10

Love the capture !
Wish I could binge that :(
Holliday Grainger is good.

Clawdy · 29/08/2022 23:30

I did like the way it was rather unpredictable, but it got a bit convoluted at times. Intriguing though.

JaneJeffer · 29/08/2022 23:54

I missed the beginning again! I like it but there's very few suspects so I'm hoping there's a twist somewhere.

TheChosenTwo · 30/08/2022 00:10

Quite liked the first episode, not too many characters to begin with which is a big plus for me. I hate it when you’re presented with 37 characters in episode 1 and you don’t get to know any of them. A bit of a slow burner but intriguing - why is he telling so many lies and what is he hiding?

Seaoftroubles · 30/08/2022 08:46

It held my inerest, the opening scenes were dramatic and very tense! I didn't recognise Aidan Turner, he looks quite different. I also liked that there weren't too many characters in it so you can't remember who's who!

butterpuffed · 30/08/2022 12:38

I enjoyed this , not sure if he's guilty or not , they'll probably throw in lots of red herrings .The beard has to go !

the80sweregreat · 30/08/2022 17:02

The beard is nasty , im not a fan of beards at all!

IconicKitty · 30/08/2022 17:43

I think Joe knows what happened but he's not the murderer. At the moment I'm betting on his wife being the culprit.

Perhaps he was having a full blown affair with Catherine and his wife found out, or Catherine was obsessed with him / stalking him, or maybe the sexual assault allegations were true and she was coming for revenge... Perhaps the wounds were self inflicted and she was suicidal and wanted to frame him for her murder?

There must be a reason Joe was there with his wife (and daughter) when the body was discovered / maybe they just dumped it? And that their hot water/boiler has broken the night before. And her flatmate's comments about a boyfriend in London must have some significance too.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/08/2022 21:02

All good points @IconicKitty

i can’t work out if he is guilty or knows who it is

hopefully not wife

she seems too nice

@the80sweregreat agree. Hideous things !!

The friend, dr Gerald owens is definitely in on something I reckon. Pally with the beard, old time love rivals for the wife, beard won that battle. Just diagnosed him with early onset Parkinson’s.
He was totally faking forgetfulness when beard asked him if he remembered sending the patient obsessed with the number 21 over to him.
Keeping my eye closely on him. Expecting him to have a very low key backseat role in later episodes so you almost forget about him and then it will all turn out to be something to do with him…
these things are often quite formulaic but I tend to enjoy them!

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/09/2022 08:03

Lying about the door being locked in morgue

lying about being in crem

Prob lying about the spade aa looked at the wife when said that

not saying he recognised lady at once

and number 21 man

wouid he cover for his wife

she she said why bring her back into this now or something like this

if she had killed her then she wouldn’t have said that

The actor who plays the dr is always dodgy!!

TheChosenTwo · 03/09/2022 22:36

He is @alwaysfactor50 !!

alwaysfactor50 · 03/09/2022 23:17

@TheChosenTwo he is looking really hot at the moment too 🤣. He's definitely got a twinkle about him!!

TheChosenTwo · 04/09/2022 08:08

Ooh no, he does absolutely nothing for me 😳

Agreed. And the beard makes him even less appealing IMO.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2022 09:54

Nothing for me either

maybe as they vampire with no beard

but looking like he does. Yuk no

@LadyGAgain @Blondeshavemorefun I'm talking about the dr who often plays the baddy! Not Mr Beard.

I realise it's shallow but he's got a lot trimmer than he used to be 😳
