tense 5 part thriller

from the ones who made line of duty and vigil …..

joe (aiden turner) a clinical psychologist is called in to offer his expertise after a body of a young woman is found in a london cemetery

when Di Vincent Ruiz (Shaun Parker) and his new partner Ds Riya Devi show him the body their suspicions are aroused by his reaction

is he shocked by the brutality of the murder or is there something he didn’t telling the police

joe has been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and starts acting strangely

I do love a good thriller /drama so Hope will be good

I was expecting the plumber to say he'd found something under the floorboards.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2022 11:49

Either he will find or place - aND JACK made him

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2022 12:14

Was looking for a thread like this and couldn't see it, then started my own but here is my thoughts:
Really like Aiden Turner. I know loads of people love him from Poldark but I never watched that series. It's slightly sinister and Aiden' Irish accent and look reminds me a bit of Jamie Dornan from The Fall. Also a character in the series is played by Bronagh Waugh who played Jamie Dornan's wife in The Fall. The only miscasting for me is the DI Ruiz, his performance seems hammy like he's done lots of theatre work...

On episode one what was the thing that he shredded?
I saw it was about the woman who died but what was it?
I was watching it live on my laptop and so it didn't have subtitles. I think I missed more than I should have on this

It was a job application from the victim to work at dr's surgery. It seems that the police and she all have exactly the same picture. I think Sian Clifford (partner in the psych surgery) is involved somehow.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2022 17:12

Tho wouid someone who has been sexually abused apply for a job with the person who she accused

Wonder what will happen tonight ? Again as clashes with the capture and I’m working I will watzh tomorrow so avoid from 9pm

bir I still think it’s his friend the doctor. Same initials

OP posts:
TheChosenTwo · 12/09/2022 20:26

Yep, the doctor was first in my list of suspects! Although he plays a similar role in so many things, maybe it’s a red herring… but I don’t think so, he’s definitely dodgy and hiding something.

zozozozo · 12/09/2022 21:04

Does anyone know if The Suspect is on tonight? It says it's on now but it's not?

TheChosenTwo · 12/09/2022 21:39

It’s on! Are you looking on itv? (Not to sound patronising but sometimes I’m convinced something is on a different channel!)

TheChosenTwo · 12/09/2022 22:21

Ooh interesting, the ‘secret London lover’. Bloody knew it!!

It started 10 minutes late due to the previous payment overhang. Hope you caught it.

I don't think it's Dr Owens now because Jo suspects him and we're only on the third episode . There must be a lot more to come....

butterpuffed · 13/09/2022 14:52

Programme not payment !!!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2022 11:11

I still think it is his doctor friend

he was quick to ring police and reveal his location

plus having same initials as who Catherine was meeting

I think this too now

parkrunner1977 · 14/09/2022 13:26

I think the plumber is Bobby's older brother who 'disappeared' while abroad. The fact that Joe was involved in a session with young Bobby, and the boy's link to the murder victim through both living in Liverpool is too much of a coincidence. I think that Bobby's dad killed himself because of the accusations made against him (being false) and the older brother has set Joe up for the murder as he blames him for destroying his family. Seems a bit extreme though! The Dr friend is also a slimeball & he was the one having the affair with the victim but I don't think he's the killer. It does however help him worm his way in with the wife (who it seems he is also sleeping with) if he helps the Police point the finger at Joe.

Yes, the plumber is weird.

What was the significance of the coffee he had? Or the scene with the door open?

What actually happened to the goldfish or is it coincidence?

So many questions!

Whisperedew · 14/09/2022 17:47

What’s the chances she just killed herself? Why aren’t they looking at that

I think we are being led down that path and it might be a red herring. The theory about the plumber is a good one. I think the wife has a more sinister role than just shagging the other doctor and clearly wanting to shag the plumber.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2022 19:02

I would do the plumber pmsl

OP posts:
diddl · 14/09/2022 19:14

I'm just watching the 2nd episode & was thinking-wtf is the plumber playing such a big part?

Tbh I can't really get into it.

Don't care who did it-even if it turns out to be Joe!
