Anyone else loved Green Wing?

I've been watching clips of Green Wing on YouTube. I'd forgotten how good it was.
Any other fans out there?

Very very dark and hopeless time for me when it came out. It was the light which told me there was a point to carrying on. Brilliant show. Have watched it a few times since, and it's still funny. Love the ridiculousness of it.

It was pure genius and I agree with earlier poster who compared it to smack the pony. Irreverent and slightly surreal humour which we Brits do so well. Also intrigued it was filmed at Northwick Park which is very close to where I used to live. It’s made me look on it a whole new way.

Oh god, and Boycie! Reading out a filthy and badly spelt text message in a lesson to wind up Mark Heap and then throwing in 'Yes, and she's a primary school teacher as well!'

Oh it’s sooo funny and so weird. The existence of a character like Sue White makes me so happy. And Tamsin Greig is glorious. They all are.

It was only when rewatching an episode of Spaced a few years ago that I realised Brian from Spaced is Mark Heap from green wing, Friday night dinner etc. Was unreasonably surprised!!

I'm with you. The last time I watched it, I definitely had more of a thing for Guy than Mac! His kiss with Tamsin Grieg was just... 🥵

It's on All 4. Or it was during lockdown 1 when we rewatched it with the kids who bloody loved it.

Ah, Green Wing. DH and I loved this in our pre-DC days, that really takes me back. I’ve had a crush on Oliver Chris ever since.

I love Green Wing! We were organising our DVD collection last week and DP nearly lost an arm when he suggested getting rid of my GW DVDs.
I cannot pick up my bag without saying "a haaaaaaaandbaaaaag?"

I loved this and now I work in the nhs I can honestly say it's so realistic, the characters are so accurate 😂😂😂😂

Is Cardiac Arrest available to watch anywhere? I started watching Bodies, maybe I need to go back to it at some point.

Loved Tamsin Greig and her pass-agg overachiever flatmate/frenemy. Loved Sue White – utterly deranged. Stephen Mangan was MUCH better as Guy than when he plays nicer people, IMO.

It could be a bit crude and silly about sex, IIRC, but overall yes, it was mad and hilarious and a total original.

Am I just biased and old or was 90s comedy better? GW, Spaced, Drop the Dead Donkey, Absolutely Fabulous, The Fast Show, Adam and Joe, The League of Gentlemen, Brass Eye, and my all-time favourites Black Books and Spaced.

I watched it for the first time during lockdown and thought it was brilliant.

Every character is utterly brilliant. I rewatched it a while back when I was feeling fed up and it had me in hysterics.

It brings back lots of happy memories for me, I feel like I need to rewatch it all over again.

Christ that news clip is 2016 and nothings changed for junior doctors. 😡

Anyway love love love it. Must rewatch.

Green Wing is just genius. All the characters are so good you just can't single one out. Re-watched some of it recently and still laughed out loud.

It was absolutely brilliant. I fancied Guy more than Mac too - Mac was a bit smug and too cool for school.

Adored it. So absurdist and so British
