Has anyone seen this advertised? Its written by Sharon Horgan and it’s where four sisters plot to kill the abusive husband of their other sister. Says it’s a comedy/drama. Irish. Looks hilarious!

I love it, hate that it’s a week by week drop! Highlight of my Friday!

anonacfr · 23/09/2022 22:47

Ok that last scene was a game changer!

Netaporter · 23/09/2022 23:24

i loved this week’s ep. JP is a total asshole.,

pinksunsets · 24/09/2022 10:08

Who's George? Is it JP's dad??

AmeliaLila · 24/09/2022 11:25

Yes it’s his dad ! I sort of fancy the husband (John paul) a bit all that glowering at people is quite hot 🤣🤣.

anonacfr · 25/09/2022 12:01

I've not seen the Walter Presents show but I am wondering if his wife or daughter doesn't end up killing him?
And the poison/drowning scenario of latst week's episode gave me strong Rasputin vibes.

My niggle with this week was how Gabriel managed to see who was in the car- from that far away, in the dark, with headlights in his face.
Also never realised he'd even met Becka.

JacquelineCarlyle · 25/09/2022 12:32

I've a vague recollection they met in a bar (wasn't there some company pub quiz?) @anonacfr

They made such a screech driving off & there were street lights so I'm not surprised he saw her.

Sonnex · 25/09/2022 19:47

I've not seen it either and yes I reckon they don't actually kill him in the end. It's either an accident of the wife/daughter snap.

JacquelineCarlyle · 25/09/2022 23:55

I hope it's not Blanaid as don't think she'd cope with the guilt. She loves her dad, despite also hating him and seeing him for what he is, so being responsible for his death wouldn't be good for her. Same with Grace, she couldn't live with the guilt.

I reckon it's either a genuine accident or it's the neighbour when he finds out it was JP who's setting him up to look like a paedophile.

AmeliaLila · 26/09/2022 19:54

He does love his daughter and she loves him but in the last episode she saw his behavior towards her Aunt and you could tell she was suspicious at the hospital over her mums arm.

pennyfairweather · 30/09/2022 09:00

I'm off sick so I've just watched the new episode. Who else? I need to discuss!

Just finished it! I thought it was the finale for the first half and couldn’t figure out how they were going to wrap it all up in 20 minutes 😂

AmeliaLila · 30/09/2022 10:53

Just watched it (spoilers ahead!!)

Im confused between thinking JP is gay and that he has some kind of romnantic or sexual history with Horgans character. I think his poor mother was locked in the freezer by accident. Grace is better suited to Roger than JP. He has not as handsome or successful but he is such a lovely and sweet man who she could have a much better life with. He was so supportive to her this episode.

AmeliaLila · 30/09/2022 11:06

Also I loved that two guys half his size and weight managed to batter him! Seems he is a coward who uses his size to intimidate but can’t fight back.

Yes I loved this too - he is such a bully, picking on women (wife and her sisters) and people he seems weaker than he is.

There’s some sort of history between JP and Eva, I just can’t figure out what! I wondered if he had something to do with her infertility, but that seems highly unlikely?!

AmeliaLila · 30/09/2022 14:27

He called her a frigid bitch which to me implies he has had it tried to have sex with her. Maybe he joined the company and was charming and she fell for him at first? He mocks her infertility which is significant but not sure how.

(Spoiler alert)

yes I also think it was the mum locked in the freezer which is just horribly sadSad

mrstea301 · 30/09/2022 15:53

Haven't read the full thread yet as was catching up to where I've watched so far - absolutely loving this, although finding it excruciating at points because JP is such a prick!! You can see the set up coming. He reminds me of my ex, although my ex wasn't half as clever as he thought he was and couldn't quite skilfully manage his manipulations. The part with the swim on Christmas Day, and she's thought he's being all romantic with the oyster and champagne but really it's to stop her going swimming - I honestly could have cried! And when she went to the dance class 🥲

she's such a good actress, Anne Marie Duff - when she has to tell Becka about the money, you can see her hands shaking holding the coffee. They're all great to be fair, really enjoying it and can't wait to see how it ends. Hope it comes on normal tv, I'll be recommending it to everyone!

AmeliaLila · 30/09/2022 17:02

I just want to give Grace a big hug.

I'm worried about this too! Gah, would be so annoying if this is the case. Just end him already!

pinksunsets · 30/09/2022 22:20

Although if she did accidentally kill the mum, I can't imagine she would be so carefree in the later timeline...?

AmeliaLila · 01/10/2022 09:45

His mum wasn’t at the funeral… however he could have found her in time and used that as an excuse to put her in the care home.

fruitstick · 01/10/2022 19:59

Can I join?

There seem to be a lot of people who could have done it now. Roger? Gabriel? Ben?

There has to be some reveal where they get away with it and the Claffins survive too.

1Wanda1 · 01/10/2022 20:00

His wife is going to be the killer. Her or the neighbour over the road he called a paedo.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 01/10/2022 20:16

Oh I really hope they did t accidentally kill his mam 😕 surely all the "after" footage would be very upsetting if they had? No I do think they killed him otherwise why would they be freaking out about his body being exhumed? And maybe they did actually kill him in the freezer because there's only one episode left and they need to tie it all up now? But "Fran" (can't remember his character I just know him as Fran from Love/Hate!) could also be a contender. And Roger could have snapped.

Ah here, I just really don't have a clue!! But I have loved it so far and I'd say it'll be a huge hit if it gets to terrestrial TV like BBC or C4 etc
