Has a thread been started?

Yes still watching. Why do you think it was a fix? Mindys cake was squished to fuck inside. Didn't think there was any argument there!

DeckardK · 12/10/2022 18:45

It may be a fix if she wins, but last night the right one went imo.

LosingTheWill2022 · 12/10/2022 23:08

I'm still watching. Although I predicted who would go, I don't think it was a fix.
The odds are so stacked against the 2 remaining new contestants that it would take the judges to fix it for either of them to win.
So unfair that they are competing against professionals.

ShinglesThinBonesWhiskersBunions · 12/10/2022 23:42

I love Julie, she isn't refined enough to win.

.I think the two remaining fans are holding there own. Anyone can win.

BigFatLiar · 13/10/2022 08:07

I don't think Julie has long left or the lad from the North

BigFatLiar · 13/10/2022 20:03

Bit of a comedy of errors tonight. Julie goes through as the one who recovered best.

That's what I thought in season 1 @ShinglesThinBonesWhiskersBunions , right up until she won 😂

I just rewound to check whether the judges had any criticism of Sarah's curry and there wasn't any. It would have been good to have some indication of why it wasn't "top 5 worthy".

burnoutbabe · 13/10/2022 21:28

Well Sarah's curry was just described as "perfectly cooked prawns". It sounded competent.

Whereas Julie's they were giddy and enthusiastic. It was obvious she would win from that bit,

Nond of them shone tonight. I think Julie got away with it because she rescued her dish to present a decent plate whereas the others had issues with the plate they presented. Sarah's perfectly cooked prawns seemed to be the best bit of the dish.

Probably the worst showing from the three of them which is a shame given the wide scope they had.

I did have a wry smile as I knew she'd get through as soon as she salvaged some of the cake. It's Alvin who needs to go next though!

ShinglesThinBonesWhiskersBunions · 13/10/2022 23:30

Julie won't win, the series I would like her to. She won tonight because she makes bloody lovely comfort food.

Sarah served shop bought bread rolls. Alvin's rolls were dry but at least he mad them.

GrandTheftWalrus · 13/10/2022 23:51

I've got this week's to watch but I am wanting either Billie or Julie to win to show that they are still worthy.

Failing that I want one of the 2 fans to win.

I was shocked when Sashi went out so early as well.

DeckardK · 15/10/2022 11:01

I cried last night for one of the contestants who did well (don't want to say who as PP is catching up), didn't realise I was so invested!

Last night's was good, I'd have struggled to do something interesting with oysters, don't like them.

GrandTheftWalrus · 15/10/2022 20:12

All caught up now. I've never tried oysters. Don't like the look of them.

Shocking elimination tonight.

BigFatLiar · 19/10/2022 13:10

I think it was obvious she'd go when she messed up the cake but the cooking setup didn't seem particularly well organised for a competition, all sharing ovens.

OP posts:
Davros · 19/10/2022 16:57

I want to join in but I'm only up to the nettles, sea urchin etc

GrandTheftWalrus · 20/10/2022 21:19

Ugh fucking masterclass.

BackT · 20/10/2022 23:01

Pointless episode tonight!

DeckardK · 20/10/2022 23:39

I enjoyed it still though!

Bit of light relief for the contestants before the finals. Nice to see the rest back.

Ooh, can't believe I've missed tis thread. Australian Masterchef is SOOOO much better than UK that my whole family find it hilarious because I get so excited when a new season starts. I wish I'd discovered it years ago - I've only done about 6 seasons.

Does anyone find it annoying you can't risk googling any of the contestants because then you'll find out who won!? I want to google Julie but have to wait a few more days.

Personally, I think that the judges don't actually like Sarah. They think her "judgement" is wrong when she cooks. They're always questioning her menus and decisions. She's grown on me but I think there's a good chance she's out tonight.
