Agree. Her forced Psh Spice like refusal to smile irritates me too. Shes continuously holding back saying what she wants to say but you can see it in her face and agree she has a mean streak. She has to be similar to Luca and agree with him to be ok with how he behaves.

It was quite a master stroke of Gemma's to have this 'out' of all subject to Mum's approval, and I'm sure it was planned that way. I doubt she needs Mum's confirmation that he's a controlling arse - she's just been playing along for weeks.

Realistically, Mum's not going to advise her to dump at this stage. Gemma might as well just play it out for a chance at the winnings. I'd imagine Mum will give the normal scripted speech that parents do on these occasions, with possibly a coded, 'you can get rid after the show'.

I have no beef with Gemma, but Luca is SUUUCH an arsehole that I’ll be raging if they win.

Judging by the latest betting odds you are currently safe from a Luca victory. A lot could change in a week though

I know when they announce the safe couples they always say 'in no particular order' but I always think there is an order and that the contestants sort of know it. Typically that weeks 'fan favourites' get announced in the first couple of couples. The one that is the 'final safe' couple is typically one of the lesser popular ones...

Luca was a lot less buoyant after this weeks dumping, I am wondering if he has twigged he and Gemma may not be as popular as they think they are.

The only likeable couple now for me is Davide and Ekin Su- who have a sort of endearing playfulness/silliness. They don't take themselves too seriously.

Luca and Gemma both seem to spent most of the day low key seething or irritated by something.

I think Tash and Andrew announced first to send a message to the others. The public have backed them. If Tash and Andrew were the final safe couple - this would have reinforced Luca and Dami's view that they are not compatible or unpopular on the outside.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Gemma and Luca's relationship implode over the next couple of weeks. Gemma was visibly uncomfortable on the show last night immediately after Davide and Ekin Su had their moment.

I think it is the pressure it puts on her - from Luca to do something similar. You could tell he was visibly annoyed that he isn't having these 'moments' with Gemma. She is holding back, I think she knows something is not right with him. As the pressure builds, cracks will start to show.

I agree and I said the same to DP last night, and I think the islanders probably think the same. Luca looked furious that it took so long for him and Gemma to be declared safe.

I think you're right. I think she's using her mum's approval as an excuse to hold back... something is off, she seems like she's squirming under neath

I’m so over this season. It’s been incredibly boring. No new blood lasts longer than a few days and the OGs just protecting their own. V obvious manipulation to avoid Luca and Dami being ejected by the public. The challenges are just cringe - we fast forward!

I agree with others that there’s something v unlikable about Ekin Su - she’s v false. She’s not mean or anything just fake.

Yeh I don’t think it works anymore; no new people last, it’s pointless bringing them in! The islanders should never get a say in who stays and who goes

Dami would have been voted off by now if the islanders didn’t get a say and then it would have been much more interesting like Will indiyah stay or couple up with someone else etc

Not Gem (not into Luca) and Luca or Paige wobbles head and purse lips with the old boy/new boy in and settled quickly for a win (why bring him back anyway) boring.

I think Paige is stunning, Gemma doesn't annoy me but don't want Luca to win, I dont think Tasha and Andrew will stay together but they're probably the closest to an actual couple. I like Ekin Su and Davide but I just think 2 weeks after its over and they've done a bit of promo they'll never speak again, or the less likely but plausible they stay together maybe have a kid and a TV show as they're cute and people eat it up
