Why am I not surprised Fizzy?

I woke up andsaw the score line for the first set of the Rafa match and wondered if there was a chance of an upse was relieved to see he won.

I feel sorry for Emma , bit am not at all surprised Cornet beat her. It was always a tricky match on paper.

I managed to stay awake until just before midnight but then I fell asleep so I didn’t see any Rafa and now I’m tired

Rafa’s kit seems to be a sort of aubergine colour with pink accessories?

I’m not really surprised by Emma losing - hopefully she’ll be given time to sort herself out but I’m sure there’ll be some negative press

I suspected that Emma would be out before I would have chance to watch her (I’m home tomorrow night).

Glad to see Rafa won, hopefully I will get to see him play (by which I mean that I hope his matches aren’t all late ones, not that I think he’ll get knocked out before I get home!)

There seem to have been quite a few retirements - I think the conditions are quite tough with the heat and humidity

I remember the day Sam beat Djok in 2016 at Wimbledon- which was kind of the start of Djok's decline, having finally won RG, and a massive year in 2015.
I had to go out, and wasn't much fussed about the match- but I heard the scores on the radio and it was great.

I've just watched a bit of the replay of Rafa’s match - the last game seemed to take ages! I liked what I saw of Rinky but he’s got plenty of time to win matches so glad that Rafa won!

He’s got Foggy next - of course they’re already talking about the time he beat Rafa at the us open!

Fizzy as soon as i saw that Rafa was playing Foggy next, I knew that match would be mentioned. . It doesn't matter that it was 7 years ago, that Rafa has a 13/4 hth record against him, and the last time Foggy beat him was over 3 years ago.

Something very random has just happened on here- a thread appeared on TIO- that I started in 2008, about a children's book I remembered. And someone has bumped it now- because the author was their gran!

Oh that's cool Raahh sometimes old threads reappear and I wonder what the hell I was doing on them when I see the title - usually saying something stupid is the answer.

Yes 2008 the year Rafa won Wimbledon which as I learned watching Celeb Pointless the other night is the only fact I remember from that year

I remember watching the Beijing Olympics in 2008- and there was a great thread on here about how the horses for the equestrian events were transported- it was so funny- but sadly lost forever, as it was in chat. All sorts of strange scenarios involving horses on planes
