Happy birthday to your DD Raahh and* *good luck with the GCSEs. DS gets his A Level results on Thursday. All the press about downgrading of results this year and fewer uni places is not helpful! Already nervous about how he did given he had to deal with my dad's death and funeral whilst he was sitting the exams, bless him.

Shelton has beaten Sonego. He's a little livewire and extremely noisy with a gorgeous smile. He looks so young!

Gauff rolled her ankle. Such a shame as she’s been doing so well lately.

I see Emma beat Serena quite convincingly and plays Azarenka next which could be an interesting match.

Still not getting to watch much tennis. I usually get the TV to myself during the day but the others take it over in the evenings and I don’t always remember that I can just put my iPad on!

Thank you for all the good luck wishes- and kazza good luck to your ds! It's been a really difficult time for you all.

DD1 is not naturally a worrier (unlike me, it's my fulltime job)- but she's getting a bit anxious, and no, the media aren't helping. I do think that these exam years have been by far the worst affected by covid disruptions, (Dd1 was sent home 7 times in year 10 alone to isolate-never actually got covid - and that didn't even include the 3 months the school shut at the start of 2021).

I have caught up with the over night results.

Will probably not get to see Rafa (who will be scheduled around midnight, and I keep nodding off around 9.30, and waking up at 2am hmm]).

No watching Dan in the early hours this week, then!

I did stay up for Dan last night. I hope he appreciates his superfan He was a bit huffy and argued with the umpire and did a lot of muttering. He got a violation for unsportsmanlike conduct. Shame that umpire wasn't on the Kyrgios match eh?

Yes it’s strange how a lot of players seem to get warnings, violations and even get defaulted (ADF at Wimbledon) but Nick seems to get away with his awful behaviour just because it’s him

I think the thing that bothers me most about Krygios is that so many people who should know better are arguing he's good for the sport because people who don't normally watch tennis find him entertaining. It's car crash fandom.

The win over Serena should be a good confidence booster for Emma, but I'm not sure I see her getting past Azarenka. Interesting that she's playing doubles with Rybakina.

Yes Ice I don't think the people who want to see Kyrgios just for his behaviour are going to become long term tennis watchers. I just can't get my head around the adoration.
