OP posts:
Aquarius1234 · 08/07/2022 16:36

I've read 8 weeks as usual.
Read yesterday final could be 1st August.
3 more weeks. Yikes....
Took a very long time for any drama to happen.

Aquarius1234 · 08/07/2022 16:45

Well I have no time for Tasha or Paige if they go back to boys.

My take on the Tash and Andrew situation is if they could step back, they're both saying the same thing -

He said she was being fake with him.

She said she wasn't being herself with him.

So he's right - and from his angle, she was telling him she was falling in love, tunnel vision etc, while trying out Jay and Charlie but getting outraged when the guys shook their heads. She's been all over the place, mainly because they were voted as an unpopular couple and from that moment on, she was casting around and desperate to show this other 'sassy' side that she's convinced she has. But before CA, she was being unequivocal with Andrew about being into him, so that's how he went into the situation, only to hear from the new girls that she was taking him for a mug.

His Coco fling was classic rebound and he clearly still is into Tasha - which is a VERY different scenario to her situation with Billy. Which is that she went into CA claiming she was falling for Andrew, but met Billy, decided she was more herself with him so copped off with him. There was no trigger like Andrew had - she just decided she preferred Billy and that she hadn't really been herself with Andrew. Which is totally her prerogative. BUT it backs up everything Andrew was feeling - that she wasn't being real with him and really wanted someone else all along.

I think after that last chat he came out of it well, showing his feelings for her were genuine, he was hurt and upset but understanding and wished her the best. He's big enough to not be entirely wrapped up in himself, whereas I think she's still ever-alert about how she's being thought of and all that matters is that she's all right, Andrew's feelings don't really matter. And I don't think she's really into Billy that much either. He's a grinning berk who was handily there to ego boost.

Bottom line though, she was being fake/not being herself and they're better off apart. It's a shame that Andrew's stuck with Coco because ideally I'd like to see if him with a more compatible girl would be more popular than Tash and Billy.

On the other matters - I can't wait till news gets to Davide in some form about E-S's wandering hands with George. Not cos he'll genuinely care that much, but they'll both play it out as a good drama.

Whereas Jacques is being horribly toxic pushing the blame back on Paige and I can't wait for her to escape his clutches - into Jay's arms perhaps. We'll see...

Being fake and not being yourself are not the same thing.

I think she did like him but he was acting very needy early on, and neediness can change the dynamic of a relationship completely. She was also treated as the bad guy for getting to know people even though it was part of the experience and again only 2 weeks in! The girl barely got a chance to let her feelings develop naturally and then felt like she had to explain herself to the boys.
The conversations with Andrew were serious and not fun with her having to reassure him, explain her behaviour etc...so then Billy would have seemed like a breath of fresh air.

People also feel like Gemma isn't as into Luca as he is into her, and no one has picked Gemma for dates etc. but they have picked Tasha. Then Tasha went on the dates, and then got treated like a bad person for it only a couple of weeks in.

His coco fling is a classic rebound but rebound behaviour is often shit behaviour, using a person and their body to feel better about another person. Obviously Coco was up for it because she wanted to get into the main villa but it's still gross.

At least with Billy and Tasha it wasn't sleazy. If she was my daughter I would definitely rather she was smiling and laughing rather than dealing with someone who was needy and making her feel bad.

Aquarius1234 · 08/07/2022 17:50

Paige and Jacques make my feel queasy.
Esp after watching 1st LOOK.

His entire demeanor is aggressive and predatory.

I just don’t see that, I see a lad who is a bit thick and used to girls fawning over him as he is a decent looking proffessional rugby player. I don’t think he’s sinister at all, I think he’s just a little twat.

I couldn't disagree more. I got predator vibes the very first day he was in the villa. Maybe when you've encountered someone like that in real life it's easier to spot.

He has a very nasty undercurrent, like he's working very hard to keep his anger in check, and he really makes me uncomfortable to watch. There's something very unsettling about him.

outshinethemorningsun · 08/07/2022 18:33

I just REALLY hope Paige tells him to do one and that’s that.

Got a horrible feeling they will just argue, she will ignore him for a day or two then forgive him and all’s well 🙄

JacquelineCarlyle · 08/07/2022 18:35

Pinkdelight3 · 08/07/2022 13:13

Yeah, I got a whiff of that - as did Gemma I think - when Luca was quizzing her about sharing the bed. He'd definitely have pushed it further if she hadn't made it clear she's not at home to any insecure controlling twattery. She's a 19yo smart young woman who did nothing wrong and doesn't need guilt-tripping by him, but the way he was being, a less self-assured woman might have been manipulated. I think most of all he stopped because she wasn't finding his jealous schtick attractive. He's the one on his toes and if he's too pushy, he'll lose her anyway. Interesting to see a different power dynamic to the Jacques/Paige toxicity.

This! I love Gemma for this. Think she's fab!

BiscoffSundae · 08/07/2022 18:50

She’s going to forgive him, it’s love island and you have to be in a couple, she will do some crying then forgive

You can be single for ages in previous series. Or in Paige case wait a few days for new guys to date.

Yep, that’s my prediction. I don’t think he’ll even grovel particularly hard, he’ll probably make her a very basic breakfast and vaguely say “I do like you though” and she’ll melt

RocketsMagnificent7 · 08/07/2022 21:04

Look how aggressive he's getting because she's not just accepting what he's saying.

minou123 · 08/07/2022 21:06

Page is doing well, so far.

I'm hoping good overcomes evil and she tells him to get lost.

thequeenoftheandals · 08/07/2022 21:06

RED MOTHERFUCKING FLAG!!!!!!

Jacques!!! He’s a horrid horrid horrid person. Gaslighter. Aggressive. Pathetic. Rude. Immature.

Ughhhhhhhh.

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/07/2022 21:06

Wow Jacques just blamed Paige. She’s right. He’s very immature. I think this is going to be an interesting episode. And I feel sorry for Coco. Must be horrible to be a rebound.

ReadytoShip · 08/07/2022 21:08

Going against the grain, I don’t really get all the fuss re Paige and Jacques. They’re not in a proper couple, they hadn’t been together THAT long. She said herself, she expected him to ‘explore’ so why is she so annoyed then? He recoupled with her didn’t he? So he did choose her in the end?

I’m not finding her ramblings very coherent, it’s not clear (to me) what she wants from him?

I’m not a fan of him at all btw, but bloody hell, you’d think they were married the way Paige is going on.

He really is a twatting arsehole isn't he. If that was my daughter I'd be telling her to get rid?

RocketsMagnificent7 · 08/07/2022 21:09

It was so obvious Jacques would blame Paige. He's acting like he's the one who's been wronged, all woe is me, getting aggressive when she challenges him about anything.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 08/07/2022 21:10

Bless. His brain isn’t working quick enough. That’s cos it’s in your cock chum.

Nasty nasty knob.

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 08/07/2022 21:11

It's weird she's gone to Dami to rant

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 08/07/2022 21:12

He won’t apologise because he doesn’t think he did anything wrong.

Tootshoots · 08/07/2022 21:13

So I cant stand Jaques but this is OTT.

RocketsMagnificent7 · 08/07/2022 21:14

"Everyone's expecting me to apologise to her and make it up to her but she deserves better" translation: "I can't be arsed to even try. I don't want to look in that mirror you're holding up. Why should I have to make the effort?"

Is Dami lying to her as well. There wasn't a pillow wall was there?

AngeloMysterioso · 08/07/2022 21:14

Oh now Dami’s just lying to Paige’s face now.

thequeenoftheandals · 08/07/2022 21:14

I think he saw Liam last year, have his fun & mess about with Lillie but then stick and win with Millie.

Boyo wanted to have his cake and eat it. And I so wish Paige sticks to her guns and dumps him.

Dami giving advice and saying he’s not a dickhead is hilarious!!! Pot calling the kettle black. Dami sucks. Jacques sucks the most.
