The look on the faces of Mollie and Cheyanne when they realised they weren't getting picked was priceless. Hate to say it but neither girl had enhanced their looks with the awful coloured make up they'd plastered on.

So much this! Cheyanne really shouldn't wear that bright red lipstick if she's gonna pull that big mardy pout. That said, I liked how she said Paige was a nice girl and kept it respectful, not bitchy. Mollie looked like she could've killed though. Wish she'd said that Jacques had cracked onto her first too. Given Paige the full picture, in case it's not blindingly clear what a twat he is.

Agree that the new girls haven't had chance to show who they really are yet and are inevitably defined by what they've had to do to get their places in the villa. Guarantee that the likes of Danica would've gone all-out just the same as them, despite her (entertaining) outraged reactions.

It's a shame Dami and Indiyah couldn't be cool with each other recoupling, but agree they were both expecting the other one to have stayed single so they could choose between the two, and it's a blow to their egos. Indiyah has been classier throughout but she was still raging. If Summer's a better fit with Dami, fair enough. I felt Deji clicked with Indiyah better anyway. But she's kind of cruising above it all to some extent, same as Gemma. Don't think she'll go all in with anyone. Hence still thinking Davide and E-S are bizarrely the likely winners as they'll play out some great arcs regardless of it's not being anything deep.

3.9 million viewers last night.

Was it really that good? As you all know this is hardly a classic series.

Anyway

Does anyone think Paige is like ES in that she is playing a part? I'm just not sure she would be that forgiving and emotional in real life? Feels a little off all the back and forth with Jacques.

Prinnny · 08/07/2022 13:07

I thought it was a great episode, bring on tonight.

Rollergirl11 · 08/07/2022 13:08

Jacques is just awful and as PP said earlier a prime example of entitled toxic masculinity. He’s emotionally intelligent enough to know that he can’t expect Paige not to be upset but even so he’s irritated that she’s not just blindly accepting what he’s saying to her. Her being hurt is an inconvenience to him. It makes the fact that we know he has dated girls much younger than him all the more sinister as he’s the type to absolutely use the imbalance of power to his advantage. His entire demeanor is aggressive and predatory.

I also wonder if Luca is usually even more controlling and possessive than he comes across with Gemma. I get the sense that he’s reigning it in with her and being ultra careful because he senses that Gemma has good boundaries and won’t stand for any bullshit.

Rosebuud · 08/07/2022 13:11

His entire demeanor is aggressive and predatory.

I just don’t see that, I see a lad who is a bit thick and used to girls fawning over him as he is a decent looking proffessional rugby player. I don’t think he’s sinister at all, I think he’s just a little twat.

Aquarius1234 · 08/07/2022 13:12

My favourite part was Tasha saying the new girls can F Off. Felt real and not carefully planned.

Pinkdelight3 · 08/07/2022 13:13

Yeah, I got a whiff of that - as did Gemma I think - when Luca was quizzing her about sharing the bed. He'd definitely have pushed it further if she hadn't made it clear she's not at home to any insecure controlling twattery. She's a 19yo smart young woman who did nothing wrong and doesn't need guilt-tripping by him, but the way he was being, a less self-assured woman might have been manipulated. I think most of all he stopped because she wasn't finding his jealous schtick attractive. He's the one on his toes and if he's too pushy, he'll lose her anyway. Interesting to see a different power dynamic to the Jacques/Paige toxicity.

Rollergirl11 · 08/07/2022 13:14

I watch LI with 16 yr old DD and I think the program is very good at demonstrating unacceptable behaviour in relationships. DD started off really liking Jacques and Paige together and she thought Jacques was being sincere when he “opened up” to Paige. But actually what Jacques was doing was manipulating Paige and setting her up to feel like she owes him and should accept bad behaviour from him because he’s made himself vulnerable for her. It’s a valuable lesson for young women to learn!

Zampa · 08/07/2022 13:21

I don't like Jacques or his behaviour but I'd go steady on the character assassination.

He's acting like any number of young people (especially men, but I note Indiyah's admission that IRL she'd be talking to both Deji and Dami) but it just happens to be on national TV. He'll pay a high price for his mistakes, especially when the preview appears to be showing he acknowledges the magnitude of his mistake (will stand corrected once we see the context of the clips).

How much do rugby league players earn ?
Ps hate rugby.

orangeisthenewpuce · 08/07/2022 13:28

I thought the casa amour girls didn't look as nice as they have done. I felt sorry for the ones who thought they were going to be chosen but that's the game. Roll on movie night.

The difference being that we haven’t seen Indiyah try to gaslight Dami in to accepting that her behaviour or his reaction to it is somehow his fault. 🤷‍♀️

Shoxfordian · 08/07/2022 13:51

Jacques is a dick

I feel sorry for Paige

I am seeing a lot on SM about Summer being an 'upgrade' from Indiyah. Whilst I agree Summer is pretty, I don't think she's prettier than Indiyah? Is it just me?!

Also, to refer to a woman as an 'upgrade' from another is just so rude and derogatory. Honestly

They are both attractive women, but Summer is definitely not an upgrade. Indiyah is a beautiful young lady

Louise0701 · 08/07/2022 13:59

@Aquarius1234 a pittance. Not enough to live a good life on. My cousin used to play rugby leagues professionally and was on around £250 a week.

RedRec · 08/07/2022 14:16

Can't stand Jacques but hope the shaming of him re his stained underpants doesn't affect his mental health when he finds out. Have been there way too many times before with LI.

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/07/2022 23:28

Davide is such a misogynist with the oh you made a mistake so I did what I did and it’s all fine, you can’t complain. He’s into punishment and retribution. Ekin has been expected to humble herself to him and say nothing when he’s acted worse than she did all whilst expecting her now to hold herself to a higher standard than him from now on or else.

This is what I think. Keep seeing ‘oh no, what will Davide say when he finds out about her fumbling with George’ - well hopefully not much, because he didn’t hold back in Casa Amor and has actually been pretty rude about her. Hope they both shrug it off and he stops banging on about her proving herself.

Pinkdelight3 · 08/07/2022 14:48

None of the E-S and Davide stuff is real though. They're both mainly in love with themselves and playing out this little dance for their own and our amusement. You can see them almost cracking into smiles when they're meant to be miffed. Before she went into CA, E-S suddenly took on this 'faithful to Davide, proving herself' persona that was nothing like what she'd been before, when she was giggling and snogging Jay or fawning over how funny Charlie was (as if!).

She's mostly been able to keep it up because there was no one in her age bracket to tempt her in CA - but even then she still dropped the act enough to fondle George in the night, and quickly told him to keep a lid on it, so she could keep up the act. Which she - with the producers' help (not revealing the George indiscretion yet) - has managed to do, but Davide's not a total fool. Nor is he seriously into this oft-mentioned 'connection' they have. It's convenient for both because it gets their attention/air time and presumably it's fun for them to play. But no way am I worried about E-S falling victim to Davide's misogyny or any such thing. They know the score and they're up for the whole ride I reckon!

Picoloangel · 08/07/2022 14:57

@RedRec I have exactly the same worry about Jacques. He’s not behaved well but I always have a nagging doubt about what we don’t see. They are all quite young - I’m not excusing anything - but I do worry for the ones who provoke public ridicule or anger. It must be very hard mentally. There will be those who can shrug it off but others will take it to heart with a very bad impact on their mental health.

Prinnny · 08/07/2022 16:12

Where is first look!!! 🤯👀

kc431 · 08/07/2022 16:23

I dunno, I’d be a bit pissed off if I’d slept outside but my boyfriend had slept in the same bed as other girls. Though I guess no-one is boyfriend/girlfriend in there so they don’t really have much right to be pissed off

prinnycessa · 08/07/2022 16:27

First look!!!

prinnycessa · 08/07/2022 16:27

Tasha has an absolute cheek. I have no time for her.

Yes Paige, kick off and make it uncomfortable for him as he has 0 respect for you. Disgusting

SouthOfFrance · 08/07/2022 16:29
