And will we find out before the summer break ?

Probably not. Because Wimbledon starts next week.

Things were so much easier when I went to school . Uniforms were a bit of a free for all (though there was one), and I just stayed on at the school 6th form. Years later, with my own dc , I've discovered this is quite unusual.

My school were VERY slack on uniform, it was navy but people wore grey, black, any styles, non uniform skirts etc. I think all you needed was that and a pen and maths set.

Raahh · 04/09/2022 17:06

Especially yes, it was a bit like that where I was. The boys wore blazers and ties- but the girls varied a lot from the official uniform- and hardly anyone ever bought stuff from the actual uniform shop. You could really tell the ones who did.

I went to a snob school and the uniform was very individual, a weird colour and no chance of winging it with something cheaper. Our winter coats were Harris Tweed and cost and arm and a leg.

(Disclaimer: I got a full scholarship so at least my parents didn't have to pay the fees. Thank goodness. It was shite and I hated it)

JustDanceAddict · 04/09/2022 18:33

Raaah - same here. The girls’ uniform was whatever grey skirt/blue shirt/jumper you can get. Boys had to wear tie and blazer.
My DCs went to the same school and now the uniform is the same for both but thankfully only tie and blazer were logo’d.
i was just saying to dh that now youngest has left school I’ll have to take a photo of the front door on its own 😆

EspeciallyDivided · 04/09/2022 18:51

The boys were supposed to wear ties at mine, but I think were allowed polo shirts in summer. I seem to remember a lot of them wore those sta-prest trousers in light blue or maroon (this was the early 80s, they were all into being mods and skinheads) and open necked shirts.

EspeciallyDivided · 04/09/2022 18:53

I’m dropping DD off for her first day at college tomorrow (it’s 10 miles away but only a mile from where I work). Most days she’ll be on the train though as the times won’t match. Must remember to get a photo!

Afternoon all. Good luck to the Raahh band and others starting out at new places.

I'm in Kent where nearly all secondary schools have sixth forms. In fact, I didn't realize until yesterday that this was unusual and that there's only one school local to us that doesn't have a sixth form.
I'd often wondered why people's children were going to sixth form colleges and now I know!

MyDogandClowns · 05/09/2022 12:09

Will Doctors be postponed for the exciting news of our new prime minister?
FFS 🤦‍♀️

KassandraOfSparta · 05/09/2022 14:13

It's like the last three months never happened.

Who did the murder? Maeve, Princess, Rosie, the wife? (Or someone else entirely?)

How long are they going to drag it out for?

Raahh · 05/09/2022 14:35

Well, so much for my plans to watch Doctors- I ended up being out all morning, and we are having work done on the kitchen- so there was no electric when I got back. Grin

I had to drop dd2 off this morning, due to dropping off medical stuff. Ordinarily she will go on her own. I got loads of text messages (they were allowed their phones at lunch) saying she was being split up from her friend from primary(the only person in the entire school she knows) and she is getting worried.

I would probably have been better off not knowingGrin

i will catch up on Doctors later, when the tv is back in action !

Rosie and Princess working together? Or maybe Daniel and Zara trying to drum up more business with their takeover, first Sutton Vale, then the world.. Grin

Raahh · 05/09/2022 18:42

I was just about to catch up= and have discovered nothing recorded because of not having any electricity at the time. Off to find it on iplayer...

Sympathy. Sky box forgot the link here but luckily we're used to its tricks by now so checked.

How did you find it?

Raahh · 05/09/2022 21:08

Bingle I still haven't had chance to watch Grin My family are thwarting me at evey turn today.

I am determined to watch in the morning!

Just catching up now.

I have a feeling Dr Ashdown's murderer is going to be someone random and unexpected. But I hope not. When this storyline comes to an end, will they cull all the 'Sutton Vale' characters?

I do like Al and Eve together though.

Al's kitchen looks different.

Raahh · 06/09/2022 09:05

Rob is wearing a very shiny blue shirt.

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/09/2022 09:07

Who is Doris- and why does she think she knows the killer.

I still hate Princess.

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/09/2022 09:14

If they had listened to us when the storyline first happened- they would have found Jacob earlier- it was always obvious he was deadGrin. Doctors is really bad at subtle storylines (Although the Jimmi/prison one was a bit of a twist I didn't guess- but that's quite rare!).

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/09/2022 09:16

3rd date? That's very specific.

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/09/2022 09:20

Dr Ashdown's wife is very rude. Doesn't really matter who she is- no excuse for rudeness.

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/09/2022 13:47

Can watch live today.

After this storyline has gone on so long, it feels like it might get wrapped up quite quickly.

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/09/2022 13:51

Bear is looking very Rupert today.

Scarlett wears some odd combinations. Fits in very well at the Mill, really Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/09/2022 13:52

The Mill took over Sutton Vale after Ashdown disappeared, didn't it?

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/09/2022 13:53

Scared of needles?
