And will we find out before the summer break ?

Probably not. Because Wimbledon starts next week.

The cliffhanger is pretty good isn't it?
I hope that the social distancing is a thing of the past when Doctors resumes in September (September!)

IamupInSpaceMan · 24/06/2022 21:12

I really liked the speed of the post mortem, couple of hours I think. Well done Letherbridge Quincy person.

I guess if the pathology dept have as few "customers" as the GP surgeries in Letherbridge then there is no wait.

FuzzyPuffling · 25/06/2022 08:05

We could have a programme cross over with Silent Witness. That would get it solved very quickly.

RockaLock · 25/06/2022 11:24

Funnily enough Fuzzy, I was just thinking that maybe the Letherbridge pathologists just stay in their lab doing pathology stuff, instead of running around the streets playing detective Silent-Witness-style, and maybe that's why they were so quick with the autopsy!

Binglebong · 29/06/2022 20:42

Ì need to see a doctor - I having withdrawal. Sad

ExtremelyDedicated · 29/06/2022 23:01

Home visit needed I reckon @Binglebong

KilledByWitches · 01/09/2022 21:31

good news! We’re back on Monday!
better news! We’re back to five days!

devastating news, someone just posted to Sara Moyles Instagram how much she would be missed on the show so it does look like Valerie is sailing off into the sunset.

MyDogandClowns · 01/09/2022 21:39

Oh no I really like Valerie. Let's hope she walks off into the sunset towards her dream job in a cat sanctuary 🐈‍⬛

EspeciallyDivided · 01/09/2022 21:55

Sometimes Val has driven me to distraction (eg dumping that lovely bloke last year) but overall I love her and Sarah Moyle is fab so I would be sad to see her go.

Glad we're back to 5 days, Friday is my day off and I missed being able to watch it live.

Raahh · 01/09/2022 22:00

I saw that it was going back to 5 days, which is good, because I've spent the last 18 months getting confused on a Thursday. Grin.

I will miss Val if she goes. When she first started I really disliked her character. But she's grown on me ( and there have been far worse characters sinceGrin).

This was the comment. Apologies, it autocorrected Sarah to Sara earlier, probably because I have a friend called Sara and use that a lot 😳

KassandraOfSparta · 02/09/2022 09:23

I'll miss Valerie too. Yes she can be infuriating but I like her quirkiness.

I also hope the new season of Doctors brings us more of the WTF episodes like the guy who thought everyone was Joe Pasquale.

Raahh · 02/09/2022 13:37

The Joe Pasquale episode was great. Grin

Years ago there were many more WTF episodes (like the ganster clowns, and women with frogspawn in the their handbags). Of late, it's all got a bit dull- too many 'issue' episodes and and being preached at- which is a shame. I think it is why I started to appreciate Val more, because she brought some light relief (although a lot of her recent storylines have been a bit gloom and doom).

We will wrap up the Dr Ashworth storline probably when it cmes back- I do hope we see the back of Princess. (Dr A's killer will probably end up being someone random, and the whole story line will feel redundant).

I wonder if they will ditch Sutton Vale?

FuzzyPuffling · 04/09/2022 08:37

It's back? I forgot to check...totally brain fried with trying to move house so I shall be talking more rubbish than usual.

I'm very sorry to hear Valerie is leaving, and agree completely about everything being issue-based. docTors definitely needs more fun.

Binglebong · 04/09/2022 11:06

The thing u like about Doctors is the comic relief. More fun episodes and bring back Valerie! Or at very least restore Karen to her fun version.

I've changed hours at work - I won't be able to watch live.😢

Raahh · 04/09/2022 11:17

Bingle they ruined Karen after her head injury - and I hated the whole storyline this year with her and Rob- it felt out of character after everything they had gone through.

I'm currently panicking- dd2 starts secondary tomorrow. I'm still in denial about the school she's going to, and now she's tried her uniform on and the skirt (that I had to get altered to fit with her stoma bag) is now huge on the waist. Hmm.
She's cost me a fortune so far- and her skirt isn't even logoed- which at least DD1's was so the price seemed more reasonable.

I hope I feel better w=once she's got the first day over with. (She doesn't even know where her form room is- at the induction day, they weren't shownHmm).

Deep breath, this time tomorrow it will all look different and she'll be fine. If she's anything like her Mum comes across she's a strong, articulate, level headed young lady who will cope with the change.

My two are long past high school now. DS got married last month, I think I was more nervous than he was. My late Mum used to reckon there was never a period where you stopped worrying and as soon as Grandkids came along you worried about them more 😂

Wine for you and Flowers for DD.

FuzzyPuffling · 04/09/2022 11:52

Huge good luck to your DD Raah and to everyone else starting again this week.

I have three grandchildren all starting new schools, and one DD too. But she's a teacher...is that any better?

Raahh · 04/09/2022 12:46

Thank you Killed- to be fair to DD2 , she's really excited and not at all bothered by not going where the majority of her friends have gone. I think she had got to the point she wanted to move on anyway.

I'm sure in 5 years I will feel better . DD1 starts 6th form this week too- so it's just too much happening at once.

Fuzzy I have loads of friends form university who became teachers. They always hve mixed feelings about September Grin

But I have 'Doctors' back to cheer me up. Hopefully!

EspeciallyDivided · 04/09/2022 12:52

I’ve got too much happening too, DD starts college tomorrow and DS heads off to his first year at uni next weekend. So much to think about!

Raahh · 04/09/2022 12:56

it's all change, isn't it? It think that's one of the reasons I'm so stressed- I've got 2 of them starting new things at new places- and I'm not ready to let go of the old. At least each time this has happened before, one /or 2 of them were still somewhere familiar- if that makes senseGrin

OP posts:
EspeciallyDivided · 04/09/2022 14:01

Yes, this is the first time I've ever had both changing in the same year because DS stayed at school for 6th form instead of going to college.

Raahh · 04/09/2022 14:20

|Especially in theory, dd1 and 2 should be in the same school- but DD1 is an August and just turned 16, and DD2 is 12 in a few weeks. So, there are 5 school years, instead of 4. Which is annoying for many reasons.
There are very few schools with 6th forms around here (though I went to 1 years ago)- so dd1 has little choice to move- and it's near the city centre, so a bit of a trek (which she isn't used to!).

I really should be getting organised. But I can't be bothered Grin

OP posts:
EspeciallyDivided · 04/09/2022 14:49

That is annoying. There are only two or three state schools with 6th forms in my county too, DS went to a special school which does have one but most go to college, there are loads of those.
