I don't think they're attending any of these big events to stay out of the limelight. Suspect they know all cameras would keep,focusing in them, especially from certain press. So leaves the main focus on the queen and the senior royals.

Just put the telly on (after a village street party) but the pageant seems quite…. Empty? Blue seats visibly empty, plenty of space on the Mall to watch the procession. Why is this? Rain?

The bus with the gymnasts and the balloon dancer were fantastic - could have watched them for hours.
