I have never pronounced this word 'shearing'. It's shirring isn't it?

Did they say 'shearing?' I thought it was shirring.

I've always pronounced shirring as shearing.

Does looking like a pregnant elephant wearing a circus tent make up for a nice look? Because then me!

They sound as if they're talking about shearing sheep.
