Can't wait Oh I know I'm very very sad.

OP posts:
yuleicorn · 06/12/2004 20:38

Juniper- that must be it!!!!
ie why Mr Thornton has more appeal for me (a Northern lass) than Mr Darcy!!!

Richard Armitage V Colin Firth...

no contest (although I wouldn't throw either of them out of bed tbqh Wink

Richard does better smoulder!!!!

Roisin · 06/12/2004 21:09

I'd still put Sean Bean at the top of the list!

Maybe I should watch my video of Lady Chatterley again whilst waiting for the BBC to get rount to releasing North and South.

:o at your "prithee" comment snowvary

Roisin · 08/12/2004 08:39

I still haven't worked out who snowvary is ...?! Grr.... Grin

And I dreamed about Mr Thornton AGAIN last night! I keep replaying the scenes from the final episode in my head: I'm stunned how powerful the programme was - I just can't get it out of my system.

Roisin · 08/12/2004 20:21

Snowvary - you wouldn't believe how much this has been annoying me! But I've finally worked it out now Smile

Wish us luck - Tuesday is D-Day Grin

OMG, it's stuck in my head to, feel better knowing I'm not the only one.

As for Mr Thornton, dreaming of him too, he's in my head and I can't get him out!! Grin

Clayhead · 08/12/2004 22:01

arghh too not to

Roisin · 08/12/2004 22:03

Just been racked with doubts again, but am pretty sure I know who I'm talking to! Your posts on this thread don't sound like you though.

Long-awaited Ed Psych appt on Tuesday. Everyone keeps telling me what a nice guy he is, so I'm trying not to stress about it. (Haven't told ds1 anything at all about it yet though.)

Roisin · 08/12/2004 22:06

Sorry Clayhead - just crossed posts with you: My post was directed at snowvary.

I'm exactly the same: I can still hear the music in my head; and I can play loads of the scenes through - not just the odd one or two. It's a very unusal experience for me: usually I forget things extremely quickly.

yingers74 · 08/12/2004 22:12

I don't think it will sink in that it is over until sunday night and I tune into bbc.......where the f88k is north and south Grin

yuleicorn · 08/12/2004 22:19

this thread is not going to die is it?!!!Grin

Perhaps if we swamp the beeb with messages of support they may repeat the whole series in one go (could we stand it tho?) over Christmas...
.. (I'm dreaming of course!)

Roisin · 08/12/2004 22:24

How come the BEEB can get their act together to release Shoebox Zoo on video so quickly ...?

JuniperDropofbrandy · 08/12/2004 22:27

I just wish I'd taped it Sad

and no this thread isn't going to die just yet Wink

yuleicorn · 08/12/2004 22:33

I bet someone has taped it brandylady, and they must be keeping quiet about it... (lurking on this thread no doubt!!)

einRosentsprungen · 11/12/2004 08:38

Am still feeling the after-effects of this programme. Last night I watched the first half of Pride & Prejudice, as I am still feeling soppy and romantic! Actually, it was a bit of a disappointment - partly because I was thinking of Emma when I put it on and kept waiting for the wrong bits, and partly because although Colin Firth does brood and smoulder a bit ... it's simply not comparable to Thornton/Richard Armitage!

Clayhead · 11/12/2004 18:28

\link{http://www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,175-1397977,00.html\Mr Thornton seduced my wife - link from The Times}

Smoulderingly handsome indeed (sigh...)

yingers74 · 13/12/2004 14:08

didn't think i would survive but I did, a Sunday evening without north and south! Will start the book soon!

einRosentsprungen · 13/12/2004 14:15

I watched my video of Sense and Sensibility last night instead ... It didn't completely fill the aching void though!

roisin · 21/12/2004 22:29

DVD will be released 11 April 2005

roisin · 22/12/2004 14:31
