Jane I think originally they were at different times- but they will never get finished if they split them now, I suppose, so I don't know if they flipped a coin to see who got Rafa's court

And Prime is now showing a start time of 6.50

I've put Iga on in the meantime. Samsonova is giving her a run for her money.

It has been a very tough match for Iga.

Hurray! finally the semi finals have started in Barcelona.

Annoyingly, I can only get the Diego match to play (sorry Diego)- the Alcaraz one won't load.

I switched on at 12.30 to watch the first Barcelona semi but think it must have been raining there.

I then ended up half watching Djok and saw him doing his stupid celebration thing when he won - how have I managed to forget that he did that

I’m not sure that I’ll get away with another night of tennis watching tonight so think I’ll just keep an eye on the scores - could be an all Spanish final

Both matches were interrupted at 2 games all

Oh just seen that - they’ve not had much luck with the weather this week

I've just checked the scores ( can't watch til later)- very tight first set for Alcaraz, which De Minaur won in the tie break. Be interesting to see how the match goes.

PCB is currently ahead against Diego.

I will probably miss the Belgrade final ( come on Rublev!)as dh has decided he wants to go out.
I'm banking on the Barcelona final being on a bit later.

Well done PCB - the other semi is still going on and could possibly go to a third set. it’s going to be tough for the winner of this one to come and play the final in a few hours time

Alcarez looked as if he was having a teenage strip earlier on - his coach was studiously ignoring him!

The Barcelona final is scheduled for 'not before4pm' (so 3 here). Both players are going to want to win this last set quickly, to get a decent chance of recovery.

I’ve got to go out now so won’t be able to see the end of this semi - I bet PCB is sitting with his feet up feeling quite smug

I won't see the final either. Going to the Gaelic today for the first time since Covid.

Had to wrestle the tv to see the end of the tiebreak. One set all but Carlos seems to be in pain.

I'm still out , but have seen that Andrey best Djok. Bagel in the last set. I'm sure there will be an excuse from Djok....
( hopefully an injury that keeps him away for the next 6 months)

I don't get the scoring in doubles either, Fizzy.
But we timed the walk well, back just in time for the match.
