HOW am I so late to the party? Just discovered Kath & Kim, it's fantastic and I have SIX series to get through on Netflix

I would so love to see a Prue and Trude spin-off series.

I spent 3 glorious weeks in Australia 2008 with friends and this we basically where kath and Kim the whole time!

It's a brilliant show

if you love "Kath and Kim' you might also enjoy Glenn Robbins (Kel Knight) in another series 'All Aussie Adventures with Russell Coight'.

He plays a character not unlike Steve Irwin, who goes out exploring the Aussie outback, and claims to be an expert in all things Australian, camping, bushcraft, animals, talking to the native Aboriginals. It's very funny and many episodes can be found on 'YouTube'.

Absolutely love Kath and Kim. About 10 years ago I was very very mentally unwell. I have all episodes on DVD and would watch it over and over again and while it didn't solve my problems it gave me a welcome distraction from the paranoia, delusions and voices I was hearing.

God I'll have to dig out the dvds - not watched them in donkeys' years! Me and dh only know about Warney through K&K too.

I always tend to gravitate towards the show when i'm very low. It is just such comforting humour.

The show originated as a segment in the 90s program "Big Girls Blouse," which was a skit program starring the three women. Quite a lot of it can be seen on YouTube.

There is an even earlier, very brief incarnation on Fast Forward (Full Frontal? not sure which one).

This is a bit dark… but you can read that in the voice of Kath and it passes as a line from the show.

I also get blank looks whenever I say “You’re not Robinson Crusoe there”

Ditto “come on, it’s not bush week!”, which my husband flatly refuses to understand every time I say it. He also won’t respond to “do we need toot paper and seafood extender?” when we’re doing shopping lists, or laugh whenever some random topic comes up and I say “I did a TAFE course in that”. Alas, he does not get the magnificence of the humour
