@rc22

Also love how Sharon is Kim's 'second best friend'.
Poor Sharon and her carbuncles!

I think ‘throwing your handbag in the river’ may be my favourite euphemism of all time Grin
@WomanStanleyWoman

Am intrigued-what on Earth is it a euphemism for???

WomanStanleyWoman · 19/03/2022 19:23

@mumsiedarlingrevolta - turning lesbian, according to Kath Grin

I like any episode where they are doing their race walking. Or any exercise really.

SpikyJugs · 19/03/2022 22:41

The riverdance episode was my absolute favourite. I nearly threw up laughing so much.

The writers (can't remember their names, but the actresses who play Kath & Kim) are so bloody clever. I've seen a few clips of them appearing on Australian chat shows on YouTube and they're so sharp. Love them.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 19/03/2022 22:47

I'm watching the film Kimderella, found it on Netflix so thanks for the heads up.

My favourite episode is when Kim decides to become a trophy wife and help Brett in his career. Confused
''So many different kinds of woife. Corporate. House. Fish. Which one am Oiiii?''

Gina Riley and Jane Turner are geniuses. And Fountain Gate is a real shopping centre! I've been there.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 19/03/2022 23:29

What is ' Jarrow/ Jarred?' Is it tea? Kath offers it to everyone.

OP posts:
BluebellStreet · 19/03/2022 23:49

It's a brand of coffee. jarrah.

TurquoiseDress · 19/03/2022 23:55

I bloody love Kath & Kim!

An Aussie friend got me into around 2005- I must dig out the DVD set not watched it for years

It's fabulously funny! Grin

It’s such a good comedy, all four series are excellent. Kel is my favourite character.

Me and my best mate love calling each another 'a pack of shunts' Grin

My people! I have found you!!

Does anyone else watch Real Housewives of Melbourne? This is probable my only chance to express how much half of them talk exactly like Trude and Prue and stand a chance of anyone knowing what I mean. 🤣.

I was out earlier with Dh and saw a really love vase in a gift shop, he picked it up and said "that's nice,isn't it?" and I said in full on Kath and Kim mode " it's different, it's unusual." You should have seen his face Grin

One of the lines I’d forgotten, but will now use all the time, is ‘Well you’re not Robinson Crusoe there’ Grin

There was a thread recently about the Queen that went off on a complete tangent because the OP made a typo and called her the Quern. That put me in mind of Prue and Trude. I could just hear them saying ‘Ah rilly haape the Quern doesn’t dah, but let’s faahs it, she is nahnty-fahve’.

I’ve used this line several times only to be met with blank stares! But I shall still keep using it, as other people are clearly ignoranuses 😁
