I was living in Australia in 2002 when the first series was shown there, I absolutely loved it and bought the first series on VHS so that I could bring it back to the UK to keep watching (yes VHS, it was that long ago...) I am now the proud owner of all 4 series on DVD and was watching series 4 again only last night. Epponnee's full name always makes me laugh. Epponnee-Raelene Kathleen Darlene Charlene Craig. The Gary Poole bigamy episode and Epponnee's birth episode are my favourites. And the episode when Kath names her new dog Epponnee-Rae and Kim gets upset because it's the name she wants to give the baby Grin

I loved this so much first time around, but was worried I’d find it naff now. I really didn’t need to worry - I’m hooked again Grin And I’ve always enjoyed the insult ‘As plain as an Arrowroot biscuit’ (although I tend to localise it to ‘Rich Tea biscuit’ for UK victims Wink)

‘He’s coming over to talk about jojoba. Oh, I HOPE he’s sober - because we’ve got tons of jojoba left over from October!’

I was rewatching an episode last night and Kath declined a spoonful of Kel's dessert, expressing she was full up by flapping at her neck and saying "I'm up to pussy's bow" this made me laugh too, the lines are delivered deadpan and are just right.

What does that pacifically entail?

DailyMailcanfuckthefuckoff · 18/03/2022 22:52

"Ooh that's nice, what is that?"
"Shiatsu"
"Language please Kel"

Queuing4Fergs · 18/03/2022 23:16

"No, it was me. I was as thick as a thieve" Grin

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 18/03/2022 23:16

It says there's six series on Netflix but the last one was just episodes looking back of previous episodes.

I've finished them all now Sad

Love it!! I watched it when it was on BBC 2 the first time around. I've been watching again on Netflix and they're still brilliant. Definitely a classic sitcom. I love Prue and Trude and the Le Creuset too! There are a couple of Kath and Kim films on Netflix too which are a not to the standard of the TV series but are entertaining enough.

Sophoclesthefox · 19/03/2022 07:32

They are my ultimate comfort watch, so glad you’ve found them, OP Grin

I’m sure I’m not the only person whose only real knowledge of Shane Warne came from his cameos.

Look at mooeeeeeeeeeee!

I think ‘throwing your handbag in the river’ may be my favourite euphemism of all time Grin

rc22 · 19/03/2022 14:21

Also love how Sharon is Kim's 'second best friend'.
