Please tell me i'm not the only one on the road to Bebbanburg. Trying not to binge it but....

This truly is one of the best series in years.

Poor Woldy. He was diddled out of his birth right but he should have seen he didn't have the strategic mind needed for the job. He was too found of hanging out in the alehouse. But he could have been set up on a very fine estate of his own if he'd played his cards right.

Erik was a softie. A lovely one. It was never going to end well for him.

I loved GoT but think Uhtred (as played by Alexander Dreymon at least) is a better protagonist than Robb Stark or even Jon Snow. He gets fed up at the unfairness of it all and does daft things, but the cheeky humour always seems to resurface, much more appealing than constant brooding.

Yes, poor old Erik. Another strength for me is the fact it is far from "All Vikings bad, all Saxons good".
