It is good but quite odd as the casting is strangely similar to the film version, ie they all look and sound very alike.

pannini?

Swedes2Turnips1 · 09/01/2008 13:58

Pannini sounds like a pet name a family might have for a vagina. So a crostini might be a post-menopausal pannini?

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:03

ewww.
Bruschetta!
(female character in bad prussian operetta?)

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:05

I have no idea what you could be talking about, anyway, Swedes.
Remember I am UNDER 40, for a leeetle longer.

Swedes2Turnips1 · 09/01/2008 14:05

Bruschettini
(female character with achondroplasia in bad prussian operetta?)

Swedes2Turnips1 · 09/01/2008 14:07

Onbatinerthirties - William or Harry?

I'd have to say Harry.

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:07

vermicelli
comic manservant with Strongyloides westeri in same increasingly appealing production

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:08

I would rather eat vermicelli than do either.

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:10

macaroni
elderly troubadour (with one-legged harridan wife,) in loco Falstaff to hero.

Swedes2Turnips1 · 09/01/2008 14:12

But let's say your life depended upon it. William, Harry or would you rather make canapes forever more, pausing only to pick fresh basil?

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:16

I would GROW the basil in my pants rather than touch either inbred arse, I'm afraid.
But Swedes, is this not more of a Twenties question?
Thirties question is, well, is this very thread really, isn't it?

Swedes2Turnips1 · 09/01/2008 14:28

Onebat - you mean the Nietzsche thread?
OK so it might be a qustion for a woman in her 20s but I think you can tell a lot about a woman by her choice of inbreed.

Hi legs or thongs? Now that is a Q for your 20s.

BTW Pruni summed it up for me on another thread. She said she hadn't finished a thought in her DSs company for years. except she put it much more eloquently. It made me want to weep.

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:36

No this thread! Is anyone else watching the new Sense and Sensibility atm? That is a question for your Thirties. As are many of the concerns raised herein.

but yes re thought-finishing. Perhaps that is why MN appeals? Can be just one thought at a time, can be very pedestrian thought, but it does, at least, get finished?

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:38

OK Harry

Cappuccino · 09/01/2008 14:38

hello good god this thread is long

I am watching it

I have also decided to reread it since I can't work out which bits are Austen and which aren't

and because I believe that the sentiments of the novel and the Sense/ Sensibility aspect aren't coming across as much as I remember them

and oooh, Jane Austen was good. It's been about 17 years since I read it but ooooh

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:39

And a q for your 40s is...
how much do children fetch on ebay so I can at last finish that script?

Swedes2Turnips1 · 09/01/2008 14:41

"I would GROW the basil in my pants rather than touch either inbred arse"
I wasn't thinking you might touch either of their arses, more thinking you might lie back and think of England. Singing the National Anthem might seem a bit keen.

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:41

Hello Cappie! (may I?)
How are Eloise and her darling babes, garden and linen press?

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:43

I do have a fine baritone, though, Swedes, so it would be very ..rousing... for the boy-who-won't-be-king

Cappuccino · 09/01/2008 14:44

I have buried Eloise in her own garden

Swedes2Turnips1 · 09/01/2008 14:46

Yes, back to S & S.

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:46

!

killed the fragrant hope of the British literary scene?

Oh Capps, what have you done?

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:47

No Ruty is the scriptwriter Swedes.

SueBaroo · 09/01/2008 14:49

oh, bugger off then, OBM wins with the first. I am complete slacking drop-out.

onebatmother · 09/01/2008 14:49

Oh dear I have fannied about on here all day! No work done AT ALL!
If you see me this eve please tell me I have much to catch up on and do I want my children to starve?
