BBC 2 8pm tonight (feb 1st) Tom Kerridge is one of the new judges.

Can't wait to see some soil and steam and shoehorned themes.

@jay55

Was it Wales where we had the good week? All four of those should have gone through ahead of most other weeks.
I think so yes. Nathan, Tom and Larkin. All 3 were excellent.
whatajuckingfoke · 11/03/2022 21:04

Just catching up! Tom normally seems much cheerier than this week, he's in a total mood tonight. They're not very good this week though, he's not totally wrong! I like Mr Hairy Biker though.

Sunbird24 · 15/03/2022 20:03

Evening! Got high hopes for the SW this week!

Sunbird24 · 15/03/2022 20:03

All women!!

Ididanamechange · 15/03/2022 20:07

Loving the all women round! I remember Elly being very good and I like Paul Ainsworth. Hoping for a good week this week

littlbrowndog · 15/03/2022 20:08

Here. Almost late.

Sunbird24 · 15/03/2022 20:14

Looking forward to the ducky starters, not keen on mushrooms at all.

littlbrowndog · 15/03/2022 20:15

Liking Ellie.

Sunbird24 · 15/03/2022 20:21

That’s definitely a small main course rather than a starter…

littlbrowndog · 15/03/2022 20:27

Oh the parfait liquid

Sunbird24 · 15/03/2022 20:30

Yeah, can cope with parfait/pâté but not runny chicken livers

Sunbird24 · 15/03/2022 20:45

Like the look of Elly’s fish dish

littlbrowndog · 15/03/2022 20:45

Where is th3 fireworks on these dishes

It’s all just restaurant dishes so far

Sunbird24 · 15/03/2022 20:51

Agree, there has been some amazing creativity in other weeks hasn’t there?

littlbrowndog · 15/03/2022 20:52

Liv looks best

littlbrowndog · 15/03/2022 20:53

Jeez why don’t they taste then season. These women work as chefs for a living

knittingaddict · 16/03/2022 06:13

I can't understand the underseasoning. Did they all forget to taste the food and then get an unpleasant surprise when the judging happened? It's all very odd and unacceptable if you're a professional. Come on people, taste your food!

It's can be frustrating to watch some of the women on GBM. It seems to be a trend that they consistently undervalue themselves and seem almost apologetic about being there.

I hope things improve. Andi will be very disappointed if they don't.

EsmaCannonball · 16/03/2022 12:32

IIRC, Elly was on Masterchef: the Professionals. I liked the fact that she was prepared to be honest about the other chefs' food to their faces, instead of doing the usual of telling them it was great after you'd just told Andi you'd only give it a five. In fact for all Paul's talk of the women being too friendly to each other, they were quite disparaging about each other's food.

I felt a bit sorry for Nat because she at least had nailed the brief.

jay55 · 16/03/2022 16:25

Just catching up.

I liked Ellie a lot on masterchef prof, but she had awful dishes on this last year.

Am from the south west originally so have high expectations.

Hoping for a better showing tonight!

littlbrowndog · 16/03/2022 21:07

Yes

lettingthedaysgoby · 16/03/2022 21:10

I don't think events that were featured as news are really celebrating the BBC... it seems to be a very popular way of linking to the brief (and it doesn't really)

littlbrowndog · 16/03/2022 21:15

Cripes

littlbrowndog · 16/03/2022 21:17

Women don’t put yourselves down

Sunbird24 · 16/03/2022 21:19

Charlotte’s “preserve’s” label is giving me the rage…
