The Medvedev match is not going as I expected now- Gael is 3-0 up.

I want Daniil to win just so he stands a chance of regaining the number 1 spot, just to annoy Djok.

Monfils is playing really well actually (now I can watch).

I worried the Russians would get barred and Djok would get back to number one!

These two look like they're going to get heatstroke.

Elina is watching- I really feel for her at the moment. The whole situation must be horrible (and Gael playing a Russian must be a bit conflicting for her- she initially refused to play a Russian last week, but beat Potopova when she did)

Daniil is really not playing well now- a double fault and a terrible shot that is basically gifting Gael the match now (but Monfils has played well).

Daniil's serve really has gone awol.

Jane at the moment, Djok is back at number 1- Daniil could have retaken it, if he made the quarter finals. I think.

But that's not going to happen, by the look of things. he can gain points in Miami though.

Unfortunately, he is not that great on clay. But in the latter stages of the clay season, Djok has a fair bit to defend.

Of course, Rafa is steadily climbing back up- and you never know, he might make it back to the top.

Rafa needs to play a whole heap better than he did in the first match. Which he doesn't need me to tell him .
