Didn't guess that ending, and couldn't really remember the murderer! Very violent scene near the end. Some happy endings, though!

Felt quite sorry for Ritchie and Kyle. Saif was shown as quite unpleasant and up himself. Obviously didn't deserve to die but when Kyle said about how he was always the loser and even his own parents showed Saif praise and affection over him you could see why he snapped.

Yes but it went down as joint enterprise so Kyle, Ritchie, gym girl and Kyle's dad all prosecuted for Saif's murder. Ritchie took a beating from Saif and ran off so he'll feel hard done by.

Ultimately though I didn’t really enjoy this. I just didn’t care about anyone.

And whatever school of acting tells people that they need to slurp or gulp and drink noisily because, you know, acting and that, I wish they’d stop.

And shouting a lot and heavy breathing and elastic face pulling doth not maketh you have acting chops either.

Ritchie was hard done by. As was Adnan.

And when you feel more for the person who committed the crime than the victim, then someone has written this wrong.

Yes, that's another thing that unsettled me that Adnan is in prison for what was essentially self defence.

Jen was awful to her new bf and the kids (though all of the kids were shown to be selfish and bratty till the last episode or two)

Saif was an awful, arrogant person who was clearly put on a pedestal by those around him and tbh I didn't really care he was dead.

Maryam was an awful person - confrontatiknal about everything, drinking, lashing out on everyone and generally just being unlikeable

Even Jamal was unlikeable because I spent the whole series thinking that there must have been a reason why they cast an actor in his mid-20s, who looks older, to play a teenager and then nothing came of it (at the start I wondered if he had been involved and had killed Saif because he had come up on him, he hadn't heard him and lashed out, pushing him into a wall or something which had killed him, and all of the brushless from the family was because they were trying to protect him) I know it was good to have a deaf character but surely they could either have cast a deaf actor who was a teenager (or at least looked it) or have made his character an adult ... its not like there was a huge crossover between him and the other teen characters so there was no need for him to be a student.

It was ok, a bit underwhelming. Was exciting for about ten seconds in that very brief car chase along the seafront.
I'd forgotten why Adnam had done so had to Google to remind myself.
The one thing I probably will always remember is the world's oldest schoolboy.
