I like Sinner, he's definitely set for big things- the Italians have a good crop of players at the moment.

Berdych retired about 3 years ago, iirc. Similar time to Ferrer.

I got up earlier and saw the score in the Alcaraz/Berrettini match- thought, oh well, Carlos did well to have a close second set there , expected it to be over in 3 sets.

I've now looked and he won the next 2 sets! .

I like both of them though- Alcaraz has definitely had a good year since losing to Rafa on his birthday .

I think Alcaraz has bulked up a bit recently - he’s all grown up now

I've just got in from taking dd1 to school- got 15 minutes before I need to take dd2. Can't believe this match is still going.

So glad Berretini won! Alcaraz (disclaimer he did play an awesome match) drives me in-sane with all the screaming.
I know everyone loves Rafa on this board but i had the same issue with him at the beginning of his career. The over celebration. Every single point. Just get on with it.

The different tie break rules across the slams confuse me.

At least I will probably see most of the Rafa match now because that one was so long.

Daggers oh yes- at Wimbledon, in the 5th set there is a tie break at 12 games all, at the US Open there is one at 6 all, the Aussie has a tie break to 10 points at 6 games all- and iirc, the French Open just carry on to the death!

Mama ds is ok today ( as far as I know- I've been out all morning and he hasn't surfaced yet!). They put his proper cast on yesterday- and he goes back for an xray next week.
