The Great Pottery Showdown back tonight

Is anyone going to be watching? I absolutely love it despite only ever having one go at throwing a pot at school, forgetting to take my foot off the pedal and watching as the clay shot off the wheel into the adjoining open-plan science area. Looking forward to the new host too as I felt the last one made it a bit like a vehicle for her stand-up comedy routine.

Just not warming to any of them. AJ’s is a smooth, crisp shape but the aperture looks a bit small?

I think Lucinda was a bit robbed, I loved her Punch and Judy decoration, but I suppose the Lobster functioned better. Lovely how Anna stepped up to help Lucinda glaze hers, there is such great camaraderie. It looks like it is AJ’s to lose.

Don't like to dispute the result ever, because I'm not there to touch, feel, or use the finished article and I know sweet Felicity Arkwright about pottery.

However, I LOVED Anna's steampunk design. I thought she nailed it. So much more imaginative than AJ's helmet design. So she's not the greatest technician, and I know loads on here don't like her, but the urinal was fab, though luck or design or a combination of both. They never even mentioned the detail like the pipework and the spanner and so on.

AJ is really a cut above the rest but tonight her design just didn't do it for me. Sad to see Lucinda go and didn't want to see Christine go either, but for me the lobster was the weakest of them all.

I was hoping Anna was going to be PotW. I thought her steampunk urinal was really original and clever.
I definitely thought Christine should have gone with her lobster penises claws all falling off.
And I am really missing Ellie. I found Siobhan very snarky and misplaced today- there's no joy in her.

I really like Sioban, I liked Ellie too, they're just very different. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't test the urinals out with a hosepipe or something! I liked AJs, but hers cracked after the first firing too, so it wasn't perfect. I loved Anna's and thought she deserved potter of the week. I definitely think Christine should have gone, Belinda's was so much more creative, also WTaF were the penises about??

Don't think Anna could have got PoW due to her wonky Wedgwood. Though of just on the urinal I think she should have.

Wasn't inspired by urinals I have to say, though I was disappointed to discover that DH has never come across a fancy urinal.

Ellie was lovely, but I can't see the problem with Siobhan. I don't find her joyless at all, nor cold or sarcastic. I thought there was a lot of nice banter with the potters and they were laughing with her. I like all the contestants, and think there's a nice atmosphere in the pottery.

I don’t find her awful either - just different. And the potters don’t seem to mind her either.

I liked both of them as hosts - they both bring their own thing to the party.

I don’t mind who wins… as long as it is AJ or Christine. I didn't mind Anna until that story and now I’ve gone clean off her.

Harsh I know but still. I’m fickle like that.

I agree - I've really warmed to AJ and Christine, and think that they're both very creative potters and decent people!
Neither person has been particularly confident, so it's lovely to see them both bloom.

I like Siobhan too. She's different than Ellie but nice in her own way.
So who's left
Anna - She's great, I'd root for her. Great creative flair though a bit rough round the edges.
AJ - They're so good at the simple yet polished pieces. I could see them winning.
Christine- when she's good, she's superb. Lacks self confidence I think. Hopefully no disasters.
