Sewing is a huge part of the drag community though, making outfits themselves so they'd be the right people with the knowledge for the show.

If it was more than half the contestants maybe you'd have a point, but one contest on each show is just having a diverse contestant base to appeal to a wider range of viewers.

But two episodes out of four Christmas Sewing ones? It feels a little like that for me.

As soon as Lawrence appeared on screen I knew there would be "complaints" - I'm just surprised it took this long 😂😂

I'm not religious but I wouldn't complain about religion being shoved down my throat with the reverend lady as a contestant.

To be fair, it was just an observation.
A drag queen isn't a protected characteristic is it? It's not like commenting on the presence of a gay, black or disabled person, surely?
I don't know, but it didn't seem a problematic observation to me.

Complaining about having something shoved down your throat isn't just an observation.

Personally I don't care who the contestants are, I just want to watch people sewing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What I liked about Lawrence is that he could clearly see well, so I feel he wasn’t being shoe horned in at all. And I like the fact he kicked his heels off for easier sewing!

Lawrence is good at sewing, obviously creative and entertaining as well. I really liked his pigs in blankets dress - I actually thought it was better than the ice cream one!
It put me in mind of the Audrey Hepburn dress in My Fair Lady.

I thought his dress was the best, too.

It was glamorous and not literal! I think that's why I liked it.

Why no men happy to be men? Heterosexual ordinary men are underrepresented on sewing bee. Lawrence is much better and more pleasant than Anthony. Sara Pascoe is awful

That ice cream outfit was crap

2. why didn't they get everyone to have a singalong with Clare? She was great but it would have been more fun with everyone having a go.
