I’m debating whether to just imagine them, all running home from the desert where my imagination left left after SATC2 …

Every time a scene with Miranda comes on I want to fast forward it. And if my eyes hadn't rolled enough throughout the whole series so far, when I saw Cynthia Nixon directed the last one I thought they'd get stuck at the back of my head.

Just watched episode 6 and agree with all the points made already re the picnic and Anthony etc. thought the whole surgery thing was handled really well, the higher expectations for women etc and I loved that Carrie accepted herself (pretty sure she’ll have had some work done IRL but hasn’t overdone it like Charlotte).

Funny how Carrie has become the most likeable character. Actually brought a tear to my eye at the end when she went out in Big’s jacket.

Miranda is making me cringe. The ,masturbation scene, and her telling Charlotte about the finger, were gross, just gross. I switched off. That's it for me.

I don’t know why I’m still watching. Waiting for the old SATC. I see what they’re trying to do now with Carrie changing her hair back to her old curly blonde style (beautiful).

But that whole bit where Miranda told Charlotte about what happened. It was all about Miranda. No mention of Steve except for saying it was an affair which Miranda rebuffed. And then smirking to herself in the laundry when she’s consciously instigating the actual affair.

Fine, you’re unhappy in your marriage and you evidently can’t go back but at least leave Steve. Even when he cheated on her, it was a one off, he immediately confessed and felt terrible about it. I don’t think she feels remotely bad about it. She’s too busy furiously masturbating with her son within earshot to give it a thought.

She’s just a fucking awful person now and so so far removed from the SATC Miranda that we loved.

Anthony is carrying this series so far and I really hope they flesh out his storyline a bit more but I think that’s probably wishful thinking.

I'm actually enjoying the series...its different in lots of ways to satc but I don't see it necessarily as a bad thing. I don't like Che, and Miranda is behaving badly. She told Carrie she felt lost, and her behaviour so far is living up to exactly that.

I don't have an issue with the whole woke thing around Rose/Rock. Charlotte and Harry's response to it is how I imagine mine would be if my DD told me she wants to be a boy. I'm finding it interesting and handled in a way that makes sense.

I dont like Brady and his girlfriend. I would not be having that girl in my house parading around all smug all the time

It was boring nonsense.

Anthony is the saving grace of the series and Carrie surprisingly more likeable now.

With Miranda, Charlotte and - sadly, as he was brilliant in SATC - Harry, I can see them acting in way I didn’t before. It’s like they all forgot how to act. Bizarre.

Last nights ep had glimmers of promise but they were so overshadowed by the awful Miranda / Che storyline. And then - whaddya know! - it was directed by Cynthia N.

She has millions though and didn’t sell her old ‘Carrie’ apartment, though she has sold the one she shared with Big. It was feasible.

The programme’s not that bad as far as I’m concerned, I don’t actually think it’s that far removed from SATC. If the original show had of continued over the years then I think that Carrie, Charlotte (and her family) and Antony etc are pretty much where you’d expect their characters to be now. Miranda is on dodgy ground but apart from Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon was the main actress from the original cast who did the graphic sex scenes, so she’s giving the audience what they are expecting to see. I always cringed during the sex scenes in SATC, it’s no worse now that the Miranda is older.
