New thread for tonight. Will they have to replicate a Tunnock's product? Creme caramel? Can't think what else they might have to do.

OP posts:

Chugs had the worst first round and they usually seem to ignore the technical. Come on, Giuseppe!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 23/11/2021 21:04

I just welled up at the McDonald's advert, wtf is wrong with me?!

Wolfcub · 23/11/2021 21:04

Jurgen would have made an amazing wonderland display

littlbrowndog · 23/11/2021 21:04

We can’t go back esme. We can’t know

SerenTarot · 23/11/2021 21:04

I'd be happy with Chigs.

He's grown with every round. Had a few disasters but he doesn't stay down for long. Rolls his sleeves up and gets on with it.

If he doesn't win based on tonight then it's fixed imho.

SumAndSubstance · 23/11/2021 21:04

Chigs 🤦‍♀️

dementedma · 23/11/2021 21:04

All good. All had wobbles. But over the whole series ? Giuseppe.

WhatHoMarjorie · 23/11/2021 21:04

Ah I like Crystelle, she must be gutted. I felt like her focaccia was going to go wrong when they kept showing her drowning it in oil. But don't have a particular favourite and it seems like Chiggs has it and that's okay with me.

I'd say Giuseppe is the best all round cook as well as baker. But it's not a cookery show.

ablutiions · 23/11/2021 21:05

Ooh that focaccia !

Such a shame. I wanted her to win. Don't think she can now

ILoveYou3000 · 23/11/2021 21:05

@TheDogsMother

Not Chigs. Giuseppe would be robbed.
How? Today Chigs has done better than Giuseppe and has been the most improved throughout.

And for the record I really wanted Giuseppe to win as I think he's been fab the whole way through.

Bagadverts · 23/11/2021 21:05

On today Chigs. I think from the cynic point of view all of them are marketable. Why did they start with sweet with Crystelle, the others were savoury?

HollowTalk · 23/11/2021 21:06

She seemed to have it swimming in butter didn't she? I saw Paul Hollywood stare at it and it looked to be an inch deep in butter.
jay55 · 23/11/2021 21:06

How sad for the last taste of the series to be a total fail.

I loved how creative they all were. Felt like a really quiet final, lack of energy.

AdditionalCharacter · 23/11/2021 21:06

I have wanted Giuseppe or Jurgen to win since the first episode. Really hope he does.

littlbrowndog · 23/11/2021 21:06

Glad they got audience

WhatHoMarjorie · 23/11/2021 21:07

I wish I could have scoffed one of those yum looking panna cottas

Unescorted · 23/11/2021 21:07

Oil drowning wouldn't have ended up raw would it? And how did she miss the floppiness as she took it out of the tin. As Paul lifted it it bent in 2.

EsmaCannonball · 23/11/2021 21:07

But Chigs's carrot cake was the worst. It tasted all wrong. He came middle in the technical. His cat cake looked a bit basic and his biscuits lacked a bit of flavour but he may have just edged the showstopper. They said Giuseppe's looked simple and his choux buns had gone a bit soft. It's very close.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 23/11/2021 21:08

I can’t bear it…

littlbrowndog · 23/11/2021 21:08

Yes esme agree

Wolfcub · 23/11/2021 21:08

I think it probably made the dough so wet Unescorted that it just couldn't cook

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 23/11/2021 21:08

Yaaaaaaasssssss!!!

herecomesthsun · 23/11/2021 21:08

yay!

ShowOfHands · 23/11/2021 21:08

Yes!

WhatHoMarjorie · 23/11/2021 21:08

Ooooooh I'm surprised at that!

But happy for him.
