I feel like Matt and Noel have enough reverence for the tent or respect for the bakers and what the competition means to them. It’s all very “oh what a silly little baking show, let’s make some jokes”. I’ve been watching Handmade which is the new woodworking show in this format and Mel Giederoyc (sp?) is presenting and she’s just so much better at showcasing the contestants and their work, while also sometimes having a joke and some banter.

CHigs seems to always finish first - is it beause he doesn't gi e himself over complicated bakes? (i.e. he keeps it simple being relatively inexperienced)

I think Crystelle will win too. I like her, but I can’t deal with how amazed she will be.

It could be clever editing to make us think Giuseppe's going to lose but then he turns it round on the showstopper.

However, at this stage I think it's anybody's guess who'll win.
