she used to pop back a lot when someone needed legal advice - and every now and then Alf would say he was on the phone to her

then she died in real life and they just never ever mentioned her again

God yes morag! Was she Alf’s sister?

I'm sure Morag died in the programme too...

I found that awful.....
(And around he same time, a relative I(her son) posted the picture of her close to dying or just having died, which was even worse.)
To the best of my recollection, no further mention of Morag was made.

She did, it was just all obv dine off screen.

It’d be a nice legacy if they did mention her.

Yes it was but they have been on it longer. Maybe Nik will come back some day.... hope so but doubt it.

Wonder where the storylines will go now. Obviously Felicity and Tane are gonna work things out. Not sure where the Ava/Theo thing will go but guess short lived. Other than that every other relationship is in the early bird stages.

Will Irene, Marilyn or Roo ever find love?

I could see a Roo romance working but not the other two.

I guess put the Paratas Ari got a decent last scene.

Yes the Ari death and funeral were extremely well done for a soap with beautiful music and Maori culture.

I'm only half watching atm due to really hating everyone in the band - irrational prob, but such is life. I couldn't miss Ziggy and Dean's departure 😔 I must say though there was no mention of how they're going to support themselves without the board shop, especially leaving with 12 hours notice?

Irene, Marilyn, and Roo are just hanging around the diner and caravan park now aren't they. I would like a romance for one of them. Hopefully no more lunatic long lost relatives.

Yes I wondered that. I was waiting Justin saying he has a contact there for ziggy or Mali having a surf contact.

Tbf he'd already stopped working at the board shop and when Mali asked how he'd cope he kinda shrugged his shoulders.

Why had Mali taken over in the first place? I keep skipping episodes and missing bits 😬

Yes it's sad they can't come up with some storyline of interest for middle age women.

Alf doesn't do much these days, but tbf Ray is ancient.
John is actually in a fair bit with the band stuff, surf club, baby Parata.

But the women...
Leah has home and Justin, the kids, work so she's OK. Roo is basically a side character for Leah to talk to.
Marilyn has had a big story recently of course and has another one coming up altho it sounds tedious.

Irene never leaves the diner.

It feels like there's fewer characters that before, and they're less entwined.

They should recast her daughter or son and bring them back with a couple of kids.

Leah and Justin get enough time.

Irene needs to have more time with John, I really like them on screen.

Maz needs something happy. I'd love to see her fall for someone more like Ari

Paternity leave, he knew him through the shop anyway. And then he decided he didn't want to miss time with Izzy

Yes Marilyn with a nice chap like Ari would be a lovely storyline.

One of Irene's many children or foster children moving back in with her (plus children) would be great. She and John have great banter. There needs to be more.

Roo is just sat at the counter of the Diner all day.

I think that's why I'm not happy with it. There are younger characters like the band in big storylines, but really poor actors IMHO and just awkward / completely unbelievable.

We should start writing the storyline.

Id have John win a fancy dinner in the city for two and he takes Irene, of course. There would be a series of mix ups, like "welcome Mr and Mrs Palmer", people saying your wife /, husband etc. Irene would make a joke about it, something about him having better taste and he'd make a throw away comment about how it would never be an insult to assume they were married. Then the thoughts would start to brew...

Not sure if I've couple them off, or just a funny / awkward kiss and them agreeing no.

Theres comedy value in them sneaking around trying not to get caught by Maz if they move one of the locals into Irene's. I wanted Rose and Her bro move in but they took Colbys flat.

Also I'm still annoyed they made Roo have a miscarriage. After her whole pregnancy and stuff with Martha Jr I wanted her to have another chance.

Yes, that would’ve been a great SL for Roo to be a mum. Although they never really have toddler to tween aged kids, so she’d have had to move to the City, or Merimbula.

I hope there’s some activity around d her tutoring Ava - she’s so good with wayward teens, having been there and gotten the tshirt!!

It would be great if Nik comes back, like even briefly, if Tane and Flick get married for example, and then gets his proper SB send off.

Everyone’s so big on Family, until someone leaves and is barely mentioned again. Like Zigzag’s mum or sister not even trying to come and meet Izzy… I’m not buying The Expense excuse… Dean and Zig just upped and moved to Queensland in a heartbeat and I wouldn’t say they’re rolling in cash🤷🏻‍♀️

Tbf they did mention her Mom a fair bit, there was a pamper box she sent and something she brought. It's hard isn't it, they can't recast Maggie for 3 episodes, so what else do you do?

They should take the opportunity when cast members are available.

Assuming they'd even want to come back Tho, or that it's with enough time to write a script. They may well contact them and say are you interested I na few days work, Ziggy is pregnant so anything over this 6 month period is fine, I assume they tell Dean's Mom OK this is when we need you roughly, do you want to do it and do those dates work for you.
