I feel like they rent, but maybe Tori bought it. She was house hunting the same time as that other doctor, can't remember his name, (English guy?) but I think they had a Thing/moment and he let her have it.

I could be totally mistaken in my panic about running out of petrol in the queue for petrol!

I thought they were given the house after they were put there by witness protection?

Dean implied that he had a previous accident where he couldn't walk for a while? Unless this is supposed to be while he was still a River Boy?

I must say that I really like how female characters are being portrayed right now. Mia / Ziggy / Mack I mean.

When he and colby were chasing after Bella and there was the accident and colbert and Dean took the wrap, apparently he had to relearn to walk then

So can someone explain Ryder and Whiny's business to me?

During the day, people order food, which they make up overnight and then they deliver it out early the next morning?

The Diner closes at I assume 10 at the very latest and opens at maybe 6? And they're working from when it closes and sneaking out just before it opens. So 8 hours?? Even closed 11-5 would mean 6 hours of cooking food that is then delivered cold first thing of a morning?

I was just wondering the same @SleepingStandingUp and who wants Mexican food first thing in the morning?! Looked like boxes of nachos 🤷🏻‍♀️

Exactly, I was assuming it's for lunches but it would have been made at say 2 am and driven round half of Aus as he took every box so not even chilled. Eugh.

And LOL at Whiny - so appropriate! And I don’t get her end game, is lying and deceit really the way out of their business hole?!

I wondered that as well, it makes no sense.
Also how does leah and jason have so much money.
When her house burnt down, think hunter did it, i am sure they had no insurance and ended up living with alf.
Jason and ziggy are barely at the garage, so can't imagine thats a money tree.

Oh yeah Re Justin and Leah.

So they took out a loan to buy the mouse - presumably a hefty deposit - 90k wasn't it? which was weirdly in cash and which they handed over to Evil Woman.

So now they've got it back, why aren't they a. restricted on what they can spend it on? b. just paying it back and reapplying when they actually need it?

Also surely 90k wouldn't cover the premises as I got the impression the garage is only part of it?

Back to Hunter and Whine. They had to use proper premises because it had to be licensed etc but surely if anyone came to investigate it'd be bloody obvious it's dodgy as hell so why not just use the Parata house? Or actually "rent" the kitchen from Irene?
And all of a sudden they're both working all day, it's 36 hours so far without sleep, how long do they actually think it'll be before there's chopped off finger in the cold stale taco?

However Logan winding up Tori is great. If she weren't engaged I'd assume they were heading for the stationary cupboard for a romp!

The Logan-Tori thing does seem to be bordering on flirting 🤔 could be yet another stumbling block to the alter (after Christian’s brain fart 🙄)

Nah I don't reckon Tori would and think it's def banter not flirting from Logan cos of Mac.

I caught up yesterday with this week and I'm glad everyone else is wondering why orders are made on the Mexican food website in the afternoon when the food is only delivered the next morning. It makes no sense 🤨

I presume they don't want to pay the insurance needed for cooking and selling food (same with the truck), but surely someone is going to get food poisoning from eating food cooked at 3am and once again they will need to be bailed out by Alf 🤔

I love Logan and Mack / Cash and Jazzy 💕 it's so nice to see some happy flirting (leaving aside Cash's sister telling Jazzy that their dad was murdered when actually he took his own life, plus making jokes about them having sex - what 🙈).

Well she's in denial that he'd leave them rather than lying for the sake of it so I reckon her redemption arc will be swift

I hope so @SleepingStandingUp - why must they make every new female unlikeable to begin with until they settle down/show their vulnerable side blah blah blah. It gets really repetitive!

It’s like a rite of passage for new characters and agree it’s v annoying it’s mostly the female characters 🙄
(I think when Justin arrived with Buddy and his bro’s, they looked a bit fighty, and he had that run-in with Ash (or someone) but that settled down in basically the same ep)

Yeah @AiryFairy1 it's always less irritating with the men or over more quickly (or both!)

I hadn't thought about that before, but yes younger female characters start out either really fiery and off the rails - Ziggy, Bella, etc, or vulnerable - Jazzy in the car accident escaping violent relationship, Tori in witness protection. The males tend to just show up after moving to the area for a new start / the Surf - River Boys, Christian, Logan, Cash etc.

That’s when she’s not helping a sick friend or at an exhibition.

Martha's fringe annoys me.

Is Martha just there to shoe horn mental health awareness into H&A? It would make more sense if she and Alf lived together full time in one location. Maybe she doesn't want to be on the show full time, but she could just be teaching an art class in Yabbee Creek to explain why she's not sat in the diner all day with everyone else 🤷🏻‍♀️
