I think it's all to do with how many sets they win- bit like goal differences- and who beats who, when.

No, I don't really get it. I remember being really annoyed about Rafa at the time, because Roger went through, and he lost his first match, and won the nest 2, just the same- so I couldn't work out what the difference was!

I missed the Ruud match ( though I didn't want to watch Djok anyway) . Close first set at least. He has the easier group, I think this year, because Daniil is not in the same one as him this time, and I'm not sure Stef is fully fit.

Well, the match started off close- but Andrey now has a break ( I was watching Only Connect (and I got 2 music questions right).

I think Rublev will do better this year - last year he lost 2/3 of his matches.

Rublev played very well- I don't think Stef's injury was really much of a factor, as much as Andrey playing well, tbf.

I've not heard for definite yet, if Matteo is out- he is still on the schedule to play Hubi tomorrow- but surely that it is in doubt- he won't want to risk long term damage (unless it really wasn't a bad strain).
