I'm sure there will be a more 'formal' picture- remember the year all the WTF participants had their picture took on the tube? [grin- but I was struck by the fact this year they will all be pretty young - Djok will be the oldest at 34- all the others are all better 22 -25.

This year is the first time since 2004 that Rafa hasn't qualified for the tour finals- which is quiet amazing given all his injuries (and I'm he's never won it.).

I've missed the start of the Medvedev match- dh -after months ages of asking has chosed today to decide to paint the bedroom ceiling . Which of course needed far too much help from me. .

It is weird how Djok is about 10 years older than everyone in the tournament (and will probably still win!). Poor Rafa never had much luck at the WTFs

Are you having to hold the ladder for your DH?

Fizzy I am having to hold ladder, and lights (the lighting in our bedroom is awful). I hate decorating- we have done very little since we have lived here. We are doing the bare minimum now- and it is causing a lot of problems. .

Decorating always takes longer than you think. We have to get the kitchen done next year and I'm dreading it!

Jane it really does- but there was a time when I was single when I happily decorated my old house top to bottom by myself, stripped wallpaper , no messing, and it never bothered me. Dh makes everything job harder than it needs to be.

He's moved onto the bathroom ceiling. It is the size of a postage stamp. There is much huffing and puffing going on.

I am watching the Zverev/Berrettini match- (missed the start of the set) -the crowd are noisy-then it dawned on me- it's in Italy and that's probably why the crowd are abit more animated than they were (plus Matteo had a couple of points to nearly break and take the set).

I am a bit disappointed this year, that the groups are not names after past tennis players, as they have been in the past- but after colours. That seems a bit lazy to me.
