The constant taking the piss out of German accents is so grating.

Plus we've had about twice as long on the adverts as on the technical. Felt like a minute of baking, minute of slippy decorating, 10 mins of ads, 30 seconds judging, 10 mins of ads.

Yes Matt putting on a German accent was cringe and Noel always talks about himself..raised by wolves and all that rubbish!

Cristelle's brioche looked lovely inside. The Russian bakers near here do an apple bun that looks similar.

This series of bake off is the first i have watched, and i can't get over how unfunny Noel and Matt are, they are totally unnecessary imo.

We always start 20 mins late so we can fast forward the adverts!!

Awe poor Freya! She did have a bad week and is really talented, but yeah. Loved Jurgens shade on the showstopper though!

I love how Paul said that Giuseppe was really hitting his stride now, like he was slightly struggling before, yet he has been star baker once before, had the first hand shake of the series and every week he hasn’t been star baker he has been mentioned as a contender for the accolade in the round up…

Matt and Noel are really trying my patience this series anyway. Noel has one joke (variations on the “raised by wolves” thing), and Matt’s comedy bits are just awkward. Neither of them seem that interested in the contestants.

Matt and Noel were on fire this evening imo. I laughed out loud so many times from the intro. I didn't really 'get' them previously but they were hilarious this evening. I can't imagine Bake off without them now. They make a terrific double act. Matt is brilliantly talented.

I thought it was funny when Jurgen told Pru and Paul that the brief was the equivalent of stacking apple crumbles. The researcher didn't do their job properly this evening.

I thought Lisa would go and was surprised but not shocked that Freya went.

Guiseppe and Jurgen are both excellent. It is a battle of the EU this year!
