I learned that an umlaut was the word used for the mark that changes the vowel sound, as happens in words from German ( like Jürgen) but a diaeresis, while looking the same, is actually a different sort of mark - it shows that a second vowel is pronounced instead of forming part of a digraph (i.e., like in Zoë, to make it sounds like Zo-ee, rather than rhyming with toe).
I watched the catch-up tonight, and poor Maggie, but it was totally obvious and right that it had to be her.
I still wanted Jürgen to be star baker, but Chigs did do well too, and I think they probalby thought they should spread the star baker awards out.
Crystelle still seems to slightly be putting on this 'flapping' act but I think she's pretty controlled and competitive underneath.
Not keen on Freya, and the vegan stuff sounds a bit grim to be honest.
I think Amanda might be at risk now, though Paul might like her. Paul was never keen on Maggie, maybe because she never seemed intimidated by him really, and he probably thought she should be, given all the mistakes she was making and his criticisms of her - she kind of laughed them off.
