I'm watching on a Monday, when it was always on!
Does anyone know what's happened to Talking Dead? Had that been cancelled? I used to enjoy watching that straight after!

Is it essential to have watched the 'extra' episodes shown after the last season to follow what's happening in the new season? I started to lose the will to live when I tried to watch them so didn't bother.

It seemed obvious that Maggie was going to escape under the train. Too soon in the series to kill her off. I wonder what Herschel senior would make of her now?

Daryl needs to improve his dog’s recall. 😆

I thought Negan would go back to help Maggie. Daryl was amazing as usual. Dog had better stay safe.

I’d watch the Negan episode, it was the only decent one.

Agree that the Negan episode was the only decent one from the ‘filler’ series. Once that had aired, Twitter was in total agreement that Negan should have a spin off series about his life before, or carry on from where that episode left with him going off on his own.
I just love Negan

I'm doing a re-watch of every episode from the beginning with my 14 year old which is really fun but does highlight how much stuff happened in earlier episodes compared to current ones!

Liking the season so far - I think there's so much scope for interesting dynamics with commonwealth / meridian.

And re-watching the Negan episodes makes me really want Maggie to kill him - despite his touching back-story episode!

Going to watch episode 3 tonight - maybe we can add more to thread later if everyone is catching up?

What happened to Michonne

She went off to look for Rick, which was rubbish, but the writers had to come up with something as the actor was cast in Marvel films. Michonne also has her own child with Rick.

That’s right. She did have a baby with Rick

So I’m assuming at the end of this we will see Rick again as he was taken away by helicopter

Tho also don’t get why a decade later he didn’t return …..

I thought it was a piss poor storyline, based on her finding something of his?! Come on be more creative!

Imagine if he’s with someone else when she finds him its not like he knew she was pregnant

I don’t know where they’re going with it, the Rick films have been massively delayed, if they ever were going to happen, that is, although it’s possible he’s with the same group that Eugene and co are currently with.

Maggie will get more people killed if she continues to ignore Negan. She will argue about anything with him rather than admit he has a point, and that’s a recipe for disaster.

There was plenty of time to get the young guy through that door too. She just decided not to. Negan immediately tried to open the door.
