I really enjoyed the first episode

Zombies don’t starve to death as fast as humans do, hence so many still mumbling around.

I also think Maggie needs to get over herself, I’ve been rewatching from the start (for the hundredth time!) and ALL of the “good guys” have murdered people for various reasons, or no reason at all, so Negan killing Glenn? Pish love shut up.

I guarantee Negan just fucks off and leaves her there, being as she hasn’t stopped banging on about killing him.

I get annoyed when they have few bullets and just randomly fire at the zombies, KNEES. They can crawl but not as fast as they can walk and far less chance of them getting you.

Yes, the zombies don't die as quick. Not Improbable that quite a lot of people would fall victim to the 'disease', especially if it was already there sitting as an infection when you die.

Maggie has not seen any good or the incarceration that Negan had. I imagine there would be a lot of people who would be angry with Carole's killings in the past. Negan was over and beyond of course, when you look at over 2 seasons we had to endure of him. Guess its a long way to forgiveness for him.

Legs, arms and head are the hardest places to hit, hence the body mass thing. Bullet proof vests are not just to protect the organs, but also because the torso is the easiest target to hit. But like you, after a decade or so, I do wish they would have moved on, but it's not easy as in real life we still struggle with perfect aim.

tbf, they do state that the scavenging is failing.

Alexandria is a mess, and IMO, they need to abandon ship.

How far is Meridian from there? I wish there was a bloody map because I have a terrible direction sense as it is, and I can’t figure out how the Whisperers passed by Meridian without incident if it’s within walking distance for almost starving people.

It’s got a very Romero feel to it these first 2 episodes.

True RE hardest parts to hit, I play far too much Fallout and that’s where I always shoot Ghouls if there’s a huge crowd of them, as it’s easier than head shots.
