New series starts tonight Smile I follow it as it's my old colleagues and job!

I did wish that they'd edited out the sound where the poor man went to sit with his partner. It seemed very intrusive.

Same. There was one a few series ago where a man died in his bed, and they didn't cover him up and the camera just filmed him led there. His poor family if they were to watch that 😢

@Willowkins

I caught up with this tonight. Like PPs, I was in tears when the woman died. I think it was Marcus Mumford singing YNWA.
Thank you :)

JaneJeffer · 19/08/2021 00:41

I bawled my eyes out.

NotMyCat · 19/08/2021 21:10

Oh God the poor little girl Sad

ChoccyJules · 19/08/2021 21:39

She set me off: ‚I can’t go next door because I‘m little‘

SimonJT · 19/08/2021 21:48

Jasmin did a brilliant job

JaneJeffer · 19/08/2021 21:53

That woman looked nowhere near the end to my eyes.

Elderflower14 · 19/08/2021 21:54

Is it me or was that son selfish?
If it was my Mum I'd be there in a heartbeat....

JaneJeffer · 19/08/2021 21:55

Maybe he's got an underlying health condition.

Menissues · 19/08/2021 21:55

I thought that elderflower but I'm in my 30s and low risk. If she was in her 90s he maybe 70s and high risk or have family at home who are high risk. However wild horses wouldn't keep me away from my dad bedside

Elderflower14 · 19/08/2021 22:10

I hadn't thought of that... SOOOOOO pleased that little Jasmin got an award bless her little ♥!

Just catching up now. And that was my thought. I am CEV. But would absolutely have been there for either of my parents.
ineedaholidayandwine · 20/08/2021 17:43

I need to watch last nights, currently on a very long drive as a passenger so might dig out my ipad.
The husband of the woman who died last week 😭 that was hard to see/hear. Poor poor guy.
The paramedics are amazing! Wine to all of them

Willowkins · 20/08/2021 19:36

Just catching up with week 2 now. It's heartbreaking.

MeredithMae · 20/08/2021 22:15

I love this show but end up sobbing every week. Little Jasmin got to me this week.

NotMyCat · 20/08/2021 22:29

Twitter did make me laugh. A guy tweeted "thought ambulance was like casualty and wanted to watch it. Thanks a bunch, I'm crying like a baby now"

Love this programme. I feel so sorry for everyone in the NHS trying to survive at the moment. You can tell from this programme that a lot of money and resources needs to be put into the NHS.

I can understand why the man was hesitant about going into a care home at the height of the second wave.

longtompot · 21/08/2021 18:12

I think one thing that is frustrating to see from when this filmed was all the ambulances having to wait for their patients to have a test to see where they should go. As a result people were having to wait far too long for an ambulance in an emergency, especially the 53 year old who had a heart attack and then died. I wish there was something they could have done to free them up.

There's never enough ambulances, even before covid Sad there wasn't enough when I was doing the job in 2010
