She got a LOT more abuse than Kaz, on her intelligence, playing off men, grammar lessons from Georgia. And actually she didn't disrespect any of the boys - she swerved Aaron's kiss initially and then ended things with Danny to carry on with Aaron. So the abuse was just about her personality.

Faye has had SO MUCH ABUSE. On here and all over media. Her lipstick, her dress sense, brittleness, how badly she treated Teddy, and now she's getting savaged on Twitter too.

I think the unconscious bias goes the other way - that because Kaz is a woman of colour, there's an assumption she's getting it worse. But if you run Twitter stats you'll see both Lucinda and Faye have had equal if not more abuse. And actually Kaz is still voted in.

Yes I agree with this. Not denying unconscious bias exists, of course it unfortunately does, but some of the others have had more criticism, and more savage too. Hugo, a white man has had a tonne, probably the most over social media as well as on these threads. Is no one allowed to comment on her behaviour?

On a different note - where are the charity's positive responses to Matt shutting down Kazs behaviour and gaslighting? He did exactly right and showed clear boundaries. No messing about, no games - that's why she was so "confused"

Totally agree with this-when Danny was gas lighting Lucinda, women’s aid came straight out with this is what abuse looks like…where are the men’s charities saying this?

I’m sorry but Kaz’s behaviour has been appalling-and my saying that is not being racist-before all this happened I was 100% behind and thought her beautiful and fun. Now all I see is her game playing; lying in kitchen surfaces with her arse out and talking in a baby voice to seem sexy.

Faye for whatever her reasons also behaves appallingly. Up until last night, I was also with her-but now she’s taking it all too far. I feel very sorry for Teddy who looked genuinely hurt.

At least Jake had the grace to look embarrassed-and TBF I have caught him and Liberty in the background of some shots looking obviously flirtatious together and having fun-sometimes attraction does build over time.

I also think the LI producers are behaving appallingly. They are manipulating people in a highly charged environment who have no way of communicating with anyone else outside of their bubble and nowhere to escape and decompress. Last night left a really bad taste for me, especially only showing the issues for Teddy and Faye prior to a vote. Not impressed and certainly not being kind or looking after their mental health.

I watched a YouTube of Sharron and Brad and they talked about the things that have not been shown. Like playing hide and seek and having lilo races in the pool. The sort of things id enjoy a thousand times more than Liberty being humiliated.

Are the producers rewarding Toby and Chloe for making an effort with causing drama?

Teddy and Matt are the only 2 decent boys in there. I think Liam may be OK when he is older and has grown up, but right now he is only 21 and looks like a man, but is a boy. Tyler, Hugo, Jake, Dean are all mehhhh and I wouldn't touch Toby with a bargepole. He is pure vile. There will be some more girls along shortly and Liam, Tyler, and Toby will all do 180-degree turns. I think Liam will get bored of being in the dog house soon, especially if a blonde stunner walks in.

Faye is too batshit for Freddy. I think he needs a kind lass like Abi to appreciate him. I hope he dumps her. Kaz is really self-absorbed and Matt did the best thing he could in that situation. Both her and Tyler deserve each other. She was with Matt, whist hoping Tyler would choose her, then he was saved for her and she expected Matt to still crack on with her whilst she got back to grafting with Tyler? How entitled is that?

Over in Twitter lots of people standing up for Kaz and shouting that it’s racism that people have turned against her. Totally wrong as she was a firm favourite for a long time for many. Her crappy behaviour is nothing to do with the colour of her skin

I agree that Kaz has behaved badly and didn't show Matt the same respect she demanded from Toby. However, the language used about her on this thread had been appalling. There are clear double standards shown with how Kaz is talked about when compared to other islanders such as Faye.

The same applies to how some posters talk about how Kaz speaks and how Lucinda speaks. Both were talked about negatively but there was far more vitriol directed at Kaz.

Absolutely agree. Kaz has not behaved well over the past few days. However, the vitriol against Kaz in this thread has been quite mind blowing. There are a couple of posters who disliked Kaz from day one even when she was friendly and supportive of others. They will claim that they knew that she was ‘fake’ and that is why they didn’t like her. I don’t believe them These posters would post about her screaming and screeching and I found their criticism a bit over the top I do thing that there is unconscious bias at play . Her family had to turn off her Instagram account because of racist abuse. If people want to criticise her behaviour, that is not an issue she did not behave well , but posting monkey emojis and calling her a nasty little bitch is not on

And the abuse that Hugo has got over and over on here just because he wasn’t playing games and just picking any girl-he’s gay/ he doesn’t like girls he likes boys/look at his insta of a photo of him and his mate. Double standards for sure.

I thought both Faye and Jake reacted the same - laughing and squirming with apparently scant regard for their partner on the receiving end. It was horrible that this was aimed at humiliating Teddy and Liberty. There were so many different clips that could have been shown that wouldn't have bee upsetting.

Much as I love the programme, I think it's had it's day.

People saying it was harsh to show those clips and then ask viewers to vote for their favs…the islanders chose those particular 2 clips. Granted there was only a handful to choose from but they literally could have picked any of them, thus creating 2 completely different ‘villains’

Absolutely agree with all of this. Zampa and a few others seem to presume that everyone's an unconscious racist. What 'language' has been appalling on here about her? Examples, please. The only racist language I've seen on here is towards Matt which was appalling and the poster didn't respond to it being called out and hasn't been back.

That's disgusting Lampzade and makes me ashamed to be part of a society that would write and think such awful racism. However, I don't think Kaz has had a bad rap on MN or there's unconscious bias. Her behaviour has been criticised, for sure, like all the others. You simply cannot keep saying that the reason Kaz is only disliked is because she is a black woman. She’s has shown over and over that she is clearly an unpleasant person. Whenever someone says they don’t like her, you say it’s because of the colour of her skin. No it’s because she has shown repeatedly that she is not nice.
Kaz has had double standards from the start and has very obviously been hiding her real personality. She has recently taken down her guard and been more obviously herself. I know someone like her in real life. I saw similar traits to the person I know very early on. Her gaslighting of Matthew and attitude to Tyler is on a par to how Danny behaved in the villa.

interest in Tyler happened like a switch when he said his profession. That was all she cared about which is ironic when she is an influencer herself. Toby apologised repeatedly to her yet she re-enacted Matt’s straightforward refusal to put up with her shit. She sniggers in the background at people and has been extremely rude at re couplings. She’s has behaved awfully for a very long time. I can’t fathom why she has lasted as long as she has.
Even now the producers are deflecting from her loss in popularity by creating drama with Faye and Liberty. Faye is another bully and has been from the start too. Kaz and Faye are both unlikeable but Kaz will not be shown for a few days and yet again escape being in the bottom. That’s how the producers seem to want it. The public should get to decide not the islanders.

I think he is genuine in his feelings for Liberty now, when I met dh I said he was "the best of a bad bunch" as I got to know him the attraction grew and grew. We've been together 17 years now!! He was expecting a live at first sight type attraction, but that is very rare. They are often together, you see them in the background all the time.

I agree. Faye has survived using a sympathy card about her ‘hurtful past’ for too long. She is mean too often.
Yes things in her past may have caused her to be the way she is but many of us would not choose to relive our pasts for reasons far harder than disliking our bodies.

Tbh that's just bitchy now as she's not even on the show anymore. And no one should be ridiculing anyone's accent/style of speaking this much. So anyone thinking the other girls don't have it worse, they do. This is being broadcast to all Laura's and ITV's followers.

And what about that speech when she recoupled with Matt, talking up trust as being so important. In retrospect that can only have been a strategic move to get at Tyler because she sure as hell wasn't being trustworthy with Matt. I don't agree with calling Kaz a b*tch at all, but it's more that she's a hypocrite. Others have done what she's done but they haven't also set themselves up as a victim of the same thing, taking the moral highground, only to turn around and do it to an innocent party - and then, to add insult to injury, gaslight and take the piss out of him for having some standards and not putting up with her crap. I felt like even Liberty did get where Matt was coming from, but Kaz holds such sway over the girls that they just go alone with her. That's clear from how they kept Tyler in even though keeping single Sam in (for single Abi?) would have made much more sense than soiled goods like Tyler. Ugh.

As for the movie night, it's cruel and questionable, but I've also been dying for them to see how Jake rallied all the boys to cheat at CA. That clip of him twisting Liam's arm is especially illuminating. I think it makes sense to shake things up that have got very comfortable/dull at this point. But I'm not looking forward to seeing Faye laying into Teddy, presumably for the Clarisse flirtation. She can be so horrible and hurtful. A PP put it well, about people who are worse when they're in the wrong. She's pretty messed up and Teddy liked her in spite of it. Wouldn't blame him for moving onto someone nicer like Abi or maybe the new arrival.

I'm not a fan of Laura Whitmore at all. But in fairness this was a link to a TikTok where someone is doing impressions of all the girls so Lucinda hasn't been singled out.
The impressions are quite funny and the one of Chloe is spot on!

Oh come on, that's an unfair assumption to make, this is getting pathetic now. I'm sure if people never spoke about kaz you'd also complain that she doesn't get enough airtime, people don't bother talking about her etc.
