I think June’s just got lucky. It’s one of the horrors of war that often the deaths are often senseless - just wrong place, wrong time. Likewise there’s always a few that make it despite terrible odds.
I think it’s surprising how unsuccessful IVF often is given the time and technology. I remember at the time it was going to be a game changer.
I don’t think its very Gilead anyway. The bible is very much about man and woman coming together and woman were part of the formation of Gilead. They think living and breeding righteously will change the world / fertility problems.
