This series is genuinely making me feel a bit sad and uneasy. I've only watched 2 prior series, but felt like there was more goodwill and respect before, also honesty.

Honestly surprised any of the girls fancy any of the boys this year. Its like talking to a wooden spoon. Bar hugo and Aaron they have literally nothing about them

The girls aren't much better tbh. Theres none of the fun friendships of previous years, just bitchiness and boredom

I mean, I understand Brad is playing the game but he really didn't need to tell Rachel how he had never felt the way he did when he first saw Lucinda, after claiming he'd been really into her. Also Chloe wanting to report back to Toby about her conversation with Kaz and Lucinda encouraging her. It just feels really aggy and unpleasant and worries me a bit.

I'm well aware I could stop watching

I’m getting a really weird vibe from Rachel. She seems a little …unstable? Don’t know what it is. Her reaction there was weird, and all the crying and not reading Brad properly at all…

Agree with the strange vibes this year. Where's all the bonding and friendships? The daft, silly stuff? It's all so serious!

If roles had been reversed I think Hugo would have picked the girl being left out rather than the one he wanted.

I don't think that Hugo would pick a girl he didn't fancy if there was one there that he did actually like.

I really felt for Hugo but at the same time, the girls are fully entitled to pick the person they like (even if that person has told them they're not interested) rather than picking someone they definitely don't fancy.

Faye to go. I can’t stand her. Her insecurities fuel her nastiness.
Rachel can go too. I liked her when she arrived, despite the ridiculous tongue business but now she’s a drip, constantly crying about Brad. It’s Love Island for god’s sake, why are they all shocked when the first person they coupled up with turns out not to be the man of their dreams?

the divide in the girls groups is clear now..

One group is coming off as nasty and bitter .. the other group are happy as Larry ... 🤣

The 'Games' are degrading humiliating and embarrassing ...

but worse... NOBODY chose Hugo.. poor guy stood there blatantly ignored whilst other guys are selected twice.. and he is left stood there like the kid thats never chosen for sports teams..

Is it just me that doesn't think Chloe is all that attractive? I'm really struggling to see it. She would be at the bottom of my list out of all of them on looks. Not to be a bitch or anything

She stands out from the others .. prior to Lucida and Millie entering.. because she is nice.. I think it's that simple .. the others are snidey.. you can see it in them. Chloe isn't ..

Absolutely, very hard to watch someone being so left out. Not sure why they can't just act like nice human beings at time. I do feel grubby watching but will carry on.

I agree with so many of you! You can't be a decent human being and leave Hugo standing there like that. It's a stupid game, there's no need whatsoever to get all competitive in it. I've lost a lot of respect for the girls as a group over that. And Chloe and Lucinda and the way they speak .... aaaaarrgghh!

If Toby thinks Chloe is actually interested in him for himself rather than as a means to stay on the island ... well then he's deluding himself, just like Rachel did with Brad.

Interesting that Aaron and Sharon were sitting alone having a cosy chat together (when Kaz joined them all upset about Toby).

People quite often comment when they enter the villa that people look a bit different to how they expected after seeing them on tv- I wonder if her more natural look is nicer in person and worse for the camera, vs the girls who’ve had more surgery and wear more makeup.

Liberty is the prettiest imo but she’s not a “sexy” personality, whereas Chloe has a lot of confidence and a bit of banter, I think. Kaz is also beautiful and has a fun personality but unfortunately black girls never do well on LI

I didn’t like Sharon and Faye then thought maybe I’d misjudged now back to not liking them. They are far too insecure and bitter to be in Love Island. Neither is coming across well at all.
I don’t mind the new girls. Wasn’t keen on Chloe when she came in and don’t think she’s that attractive facially but she seems like a more chilled person. Maybe she should have chatted to Kaz before she went for Toby but the outcome would have been the same in that Kaz would have been pissed off at her

I don’t think that Chloe is attractive at all tbh. I honestly don’t think that the men find her attractive either. They are just going with the pack She has been held up as some goddess, but the truth is that she is just an average looking girl. It’s strange, because a few years ago all the men wanted dark haired , tanned looking girls and now they want blondes. I don’t like Hugo at all and I really don’t understand why people are falling for his nice guy persona, when the truth is is that he’s a gossip. Brad is thick as pig shit . He and Lucinda are well suited. Lucinda is beautiful and will probably end up with another footballer after LI. Rachel is beautiful but obviously cannot cope with being in the house. I think it’s probably time for her to go. Liberty and Kaz are genuinely lovely, attractive girls . I am actually glad that Toby broke it off with Kaz. She deserves better. The strange thing is that I actually think that Toby is attracted to Kaz, but is following the lead of the others by going for the usual blonde ( I say this as a blonde btw). I think the worst housemate is Jake. I think that he is awful and thinks a lot of himself. He makes my skin crawl. Liberty could do so much better. The casting this year is a bit off. No romances, bromances. The producers have had over a year to come off with a decent cast and they couldn’t even manage it

What has happened this year, there's just nothing very interesting going on. Nobody seems to have much of a personality.

The last time it aired, people were talking about LI everywhere, on TV progs, on the radio, wherever you went !

@butterpuffed people moaned about last year on these threads as well. And have done for the last few years. ‘twas ever thus .

It's still early days. People say it's boring every year at the start.

There really aren't any likeable characters this year. In previous series's there was always the ones who seemed a bit quirky and happy in their skin. This year they are all rather boring and very immature. I am also not sure about Hugo and his nice guy routine. He's having a tough time in there so it would be interesting to see how he'd behave if he had his pick of the ladies. I kind of liked Sharon to begin with and was disappointed when she got really bitchy but it just seemed like insecurity. Faye and Rachel seem too insecure to be in there at all. Chloe dealt with that Toby situation really badly, but who knows maybe it's engineered by the producers for some drama.
