Serenas character is more and more interesting as the seasons go on.

On one hand you feel sorry for her, but on the other you hate her.
For example, she has suffered abuse, domestic violence and emotional abuse from her husband. But, and I hope this doesn't come across cold, as one of the architects of Gilead, she must have wanted and approved the domestic abuse laws in Gilead

Maybe she thought the laws wouldn't apply to her.

I think they are only planning to poison Commander Keyes.

Mrs Keyes said she's been giving him enough of whatever it is to keep him sick but not kill him. Her Martha taught her how.
