Yes, I agree. Serena is complex. Her bitterness and disappointment at being just a wife, rather than being in power, is one of the interesting things about her story.

This is going to be messy, because surely Fred is the father and he is going to have rights. I think he really hates her that he is going to try and ruin everything for her. That's my prediction.

No it was assumed Fred was infertile and thought that Serena was after she was shot. But it does happen. People who struggle for years and then give up trying and get pregnant.
