Scarecrow could be Faye Toyzer is forgotten about the Grease dance on strictly.
Squirrel could be Bonnie, just going on other people's guesses.
Or Scarecrow could be someone !like Jess Ennis-Hill, an athlete.

Faye is too tall to be scarecrow surely?

Ignoring all the "clues" and just going through slebs who've been on Strickly, could Scarecrow be Chelsee Healy or Dani Harmer?

I wondered about Marvin, but thought he's quite muscular and Zip looks pretty skinny

The only thing giving me slight doubt over Bonnie Langford being Squirrel is the Strictly glitterball in the clues- she has done Dancing on Ice but not Strictly I believe. No doubt they can come up with some tenuous reason it's a clue for her (or anyone else!) regardless

Tamzin Outhwaite for Scarecrow.
Saw her on stage in the Adams Family and she can dance.
Plus she was in Grease many years ago.

A bit late to this thread, but we reckon Lisa Maxwell for Scarecrow. She was in the Bill and performed in Grease. Probably completely wrong.

I’m not sure Chelsee Healey or Dani Harmer are quite famous enough to make the casting hurdle for this show.

People who don’t like the show cast aspersions about Z listers but actually the Masked producers know that if a substantial portion of the casual ITV viewing audience says “Who? [shrug]” when the mask comes off then they’re screwed. They’re playing in a relatively narrow band of solid B list people who will hit that name recognition factor while still being willing to sign up. Lockdown has enabled them to snag a couple of A listers like Lenny Henry.

Tamsin Outhwaite, yes. Howard from Take That, yes. Bonnie Langford, absolutely. But Dani, Chelsee and even Maisie Smith are pushing it I’d have thought.

The actor who played her son on Eastenders was on Strictly. It's tenuous, but most of the clues are.

They have released a video of 'clues' and one of them says Vilani Valet - Aliona Vilani was a Strictly pro, first one to win twice with Harry Judd and Jay McGuinness - she also partnered Matt Baker when he did Strictly. Not exactly narrowing the field here!

And Aliona won a Strictly Christmas Special dancing with Louis Smith! So that’s narrowed it down.

I haven't read the whole thread so don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but I'm wondering if Zip could be Gary Barlow. The boy band references all stand with the jelly and whipped cream etc but was the clue not Geraldine last night. Gary co-wrote Geraldine's Winners song with Peter Kay to Soapstar Superstar. With Gary being known as the worst dancer in Take That it would be a bigger surprise 😀

People saying about who's famous enough to be cast - it depends who they're targeting the show at. As 'family' viewing, my dd and my parents had no clue who Dita Von Tease was, and dd didn't know Eddie the Eagle or Kelly Brook (I doubt Oti or Mo knew EE either!) , but if Maisie Smith turns out to be one of them, dd and my dm will know her from Strictly, and dd knows Dani as Tracy Beaker. They need to cast people that young ones are likely to know too, otherwise it loses its appeal as a family show if kids have got no chance of ever guessing correctly.
