I'm sure eighties hair is due a revival any minute now.

My perms were a disaster , so hoping 80s hair stays in the past! Where it belongs.

You've convinced me on Bonnie Langford- that's a great shout. As well as the will.i.am stuff she fits for child star, red hair and the Eastenders reference. I was thinking Maisie Smith before.

There was a film out back in the 80s called ' curly sue' , my friends just called me ' curly 80s perm left on too long at the hairdressers' !
Some were really not great! They grew out ok though ( eventually)

I'm catching up with some of the dances and now I think Carwash could either a sportsman or Ore Oduba.
Ore danced to Singing in the rain on Strictly and did that scissor kick thing.
He also presented the Olympics in 2016 but was he down to present the Olympics in Japan last year?

On the other hand, one of the clues has a reference to "Shine", so it could still be Howard Donald.

Perms are back in fashion, especially for boys, my 15 year old doesn't need one as his is naturally curly

Matt Baker was a decent gymnast and a very good dancer, but I’d be highly surprised if he could still do those pommel moves aged 43.

That's also Oti's guess and she's got loads of them right so far. I don't know much about Matt Baker but having googled, he does fit in with the sporty clues.

Zip - Danny John Jules because of the David Howie connection and the Solar System clues
Squirrel - I agree with others that it's Bonnie Langford. She is very petite and the Just William clues fit, plus they were shown picking up litter and she was in a Wombles film or something (showing my age)
Car Wash - probably Louis Smith but still looks too tall to me.
Scarecrow - earlier in the week I thought Debbie McGee but I'm not so sure now

Zip is Howard for sure. The jelly ref, the DJ stuff, his son is Bowie. Plus I've been at his gigs for the last 28 years and have watched his... moves closely

These are my guesses:

Zip - Someone from a boy band. There are lots of boy band related clues, so maybe Howard Donald as he seems very good at breakdancing. The jelly and icecream clue in the VT may be to do with "Do what you like", TT's first hit.

Scarecrow - Faye Tozer? Louisa Lytton? The latter was in The Bill and Eastenders but the start of the dance really reminded me of Faye's charleston dance in Strictly and she also did a quickstep to "You're the one that I want" and there was a Grease reference in the VT.

Squirrel - Not sure. Possibly Janette from Strictly or even Debbie McGee.

Carwash - Someone in the sporting world. Having done a bit of googling with the clues, Matt Baker or Louis Smith.

I think Squirrel is Pixie Lott - Wil.i.am clue for The Voice and she can dance!

To those saying Howard is Car wash, I'll ask again - there is no hint of a lisp at all, so I'd rule out Howard for that reason alone. But listen to Zip..... Yep, there's a lisp!
Zip = Howard.

And, I said on the MS thread that the clues for everyone are deliberately leading us down the garden path. Each singer/dancer could feasibly be 4 or 5 people - which is clearly very deliberate.
They don't want us to guess, as it's more fun when we don't know. I wouldn't keep watching if I knew for sure who they all were

Which ties in with the ‘meow’ quote and all the purring.
