I've caught up today. Wednesday is usually my day off catch up on TV day.
So bloody heavy handed isn't it. It is like a year 5 teacher has explained to the class about a technique writers use to blend themes through stories and then asked them to write their own.
Oh look I'm teaching about PKU and we've talked about the introduction of screening.
Oh look here is a child with PKU who missed out on screening.
Oh look here is the new baby having the screening and getting the result in record time (by letter, really? How many weeks are we supposed to believe this episode covered?)
Oh look Dr T and Timmy the Future Dr are talking about how many diseases are hardly ever seen any more and Dr T is hoping that better screening (although he specifically mentions antenatal) will be available in the future.
Oh and of course the adoption theme too.
Next on Call the Dr, Dr T invents ultrasound scans, combined screening and the cvs for diagnostic testing. Probably with an exceptionally skilled approach messing he has a very low rate of miscarriage himself but some other hospital Dr will persuade a woman who want sure about having cvs and she will miscarry so Dr T will immediately set about inventing the NIPT.
