Yeah it ended up with AC12 so presume Steve or Ted

Dailyhandtowelwash · 03/04/2021 09:55

It was Ted. It popped up on his phone halfway through the interview with Fairbank. Although quite why he was checking emails in the middle of that was never clear!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/04/2021 10:40

But nothing happened after that

Who shot her. Can’t R.E.M.

Dailyhandtowelwash · 03/04/2021 10:54

Dot.

"NoWordForFluffy

I feel like I need to re-watch all the previous series every week, the way it's going!

And I don't think a spreadsheet would help me. I need it in a pictorial form with lines between the connections."

"Me too. With a PowerPoint, a handout and then some refresher training."

Would it be excessive if I got myself a large perspex screen, some markers, and printed off photos of all the suspects and installed the lot in a room in my house?

PolloDePrimavera · 03/04/2021 11:50

Not at all. Do it now and send us the zoom details.

Buggerthebotox · 03/04/2021 12:48

I've often wondered what happened to the list. I assume they used the list to nail Fairbank and Dale Roach but as there were other names and the only person who has a copy is Ted.....Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 03/04/2021 12:54

Yes. Do this please!

Dot.
He was a bad one !!!!
SchadenfreudePersonified · 03/04/2021 15:44

she was quite unhinged when she punched Kate in the stomach and battered her neighbour

Oh, come on!

Which of us wouldn't have wanted to take a bottle to a neighbour like that?

The only thing she did wrong was not using her copper's nous to finish the job and dispose of the unrecogniseable body. The moral of that story was - Always have some black bags handy, and know which of your neighbours is having a patio put in/renovated.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 03/04/2021 15:46

I cried for her in series 3

So did I!

Silversun83 · 03/04/2021 16:18

There's a trailer for ep 3 on the BBC Line of Duty instagram page. Ted knows about Steve's addiction!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 03/04/2021 16:23

Ooohhh

NoWordForFluffy · 03/04/2021 17:06

Eek!

What's he taking that's on the banned list though? Everything is OTC / prescription. Unless he's also smoking weed?

Whatwouldscullydo · 03/04/2021 17:08

Maybe it's the levels and the combinations that would flag up?

NoWordForFluffy · 03/04/2021 17:12

Yeah, maybe. I've no idea how it works!

Who was our armed police officer on the thread? Perhaps they can help!

Whatwouldscullydo · 03/04/2021 17:16

Don't pain killers also fuck up the liver and kidneys.

Maybe the bloods would also show deterioration of liver and kidney function ?

And doesn't aspirin thin the blood? Could also show clotting issues if he's taking that as well?

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 03/04/2021 17:44

Codeine shows up as an opiate a drug test but the results don't differentiate whether it's heroin, morphine, codeine or codeine combined pain killers & as far as I'm aware if you eat lots of poppy seed bread/baguettes that shows up as trace amounts of opiates too (even though it doesn't get you high)
So as Steve's been taking various combinations of painkillers with codeine in then his drugs test will come back positive.
And unless its officially known that he's taking legitimately taking prescribed medication or that takes Solpadeine or whatever (under medical advice) then Steve will be investigated & most likely suspended.
Though in the case of eating poppy seed baguettes for lunch most days & the odd Solpadeine Migrane every so often for migraines I not sure how that gets recorded?

OhWhyNot · 03/04/2021 17:54

I have only seen series 4 and 6 (so far)

So watched from beginning on series two it’s so so good

OhWhyNot · 03/04/2021 17:55

So people pop up again no wonder I didn’t get what was going on

MoonCatcher · 03/04/2021 18:11

Maybe Steve is receiving prescribed codeine as well as the extra he's buying? So will have an excuse for the blood test.

Silversun83 · 03/04/2021 18:21

Would the test show up the level or just the presence of it?

Would they have to interview officers anyway even if they have a record of them being on prescribed codeine? Otherwise you could get officers on heroin being masked by a codeine prescription! (Unlikely, but still...)

Silversun83 · 03/04/2021 18:25

Do you think Steve knows that Ted knows? After the initial shock reaction, he seemed quite calm when dismissed by Ted.. Maybe he's just too far down the hole to feel any shame or embarrassment - same when he let Steph look in his car.

JustLyra · 03/04/2021 18:30

His prescription had an ibuprofen + codeine medication on it. Had benzodiazepines as well.

So he’ll be covered for the drug tests, but no doubt it’ll come into play somehow
