Maybe Buckles was 'into golf' too and so met Tommy Hunter and got recruited that way?

Buckells also has those clubs in his office doesn't he? Quite a lot of golfing references going on.

Yeah KM is playing the part as directed.
I doubt shes supposed to be like Roz Huntley or Denton.

Buckells is the one I’m focussed on now. Been there all along and generally considered too inept to be of suspicion.

I don’t think KM is bad. Let’s face it, LoD is not known for its acting - Compston is bloody dreadful, always too busy concentrating on his accent and pulling his “solving a crime” face. When there are good actors it’s quite jarring. I think KM is supposed to be coming across as she is - stilted and odd. She’s a good actress, no reason she’d suddenly get shit.

I also think it's part of the character. On edge, stiff, nervous, unnatural etc

I can't believe after Ryan's years with the ocg he still got in the police. Even without actual previous convictions you'd think he'd have had plenty of cautions for petty crime before he moved on to throat slitting.

Very true. I started watching a few series back (Roz) and it was fine as a stand-alone but I don't think this series would be.

The back pain story line is bloody ridiculous.

a) if you have back pain that bad after a serious injury, over the counter ibuprofen and codeine would be doing fuck all especially after a few years of taking it regularly. Might as well be eating smarties. And likely he’d still be on prescription opiates given that he does seem to still be in a lot of pain.

B) if he’s having terrible back spasms, he’d need to be on muscle relaxants, codeine wouldn’t do shit and he definitely wouldn’t be able to drive.

Wasn't Corbett already around 10 when Hastings was associating with Anne Marie? So unlikely to be his father but invested enough to hand £50k to his widow (if, indedx, it was £50k. All we saw was Ted with a package which we were probably meant to assume was the missing £50k .

Is Steph the same actress as last series? She seems more groomed and her accent not as strong.

Yes and golf = OCG in LoD (and maybe in life, i have no idea but suspect Mr Jed does not like to spoil a good walk, he’s doing nothing to promote it) unless that’s too obvious?! Red herring?

They have the list - it was so important that Denton literally died sending it. And then they never mentioned it ever again.

Well, I've taken codeine for a while and still works for me.
