Absolutely. In the previous series she was always very professional and under control whatever chaos was going on, this time round she is behaving like a stroppy teenager.

I think that the producers of the show were surprised and delighted how well Series 1 was received, decided to do series 2 which was good and then cobbled together a Series 3 which isn't so good.
I'll continue to watch though.
I don't think Osian will make it.
I hope Faith's mother doesn't !

Susan is Osian's aunt. Probably his mother's sister. The scene where she thanked Steve for his donation to the Osian fund brought it home to me how difficult it must be living in and policing the same small community. I had never thought of that before.

Good point Lady and it’s the small town aspect of it that makes Faith’s mother make no sense. The policewoman would know already who Faith’s mum was when her and Evan were investigated in previous series yet she seems not to. Also in a small town it would be hard to keep that kind of thing quiet? Also you’d think Gael’d mention it to Evan at some point. And for Faith to just never mention anything to her husband of 15 years, surely it’s odd when she’s so close to ILs and yet never see her side of the family.

I've just watched Series 1 and started on Series 2. I'm enjoying the programme but Faith herself is absolutely awful, extremely unlikeable. Skimming a few posts about Series 3 it sounds like she gets worse, if that's even possible!

Oh it's her character that I love about it!

It used to be. She was strong and independent, clever, funny and didn't put up with any crap.

In series three she has lost the plot, is messing her colleague around, messing her kids around, getting way too personally involved with her young client and is generally falling apart at the seams.

They had a strong female character but they've gone and turned into a stereotyped useless flakey woman!

I'm still on Series two and I've thought Faith is appalling from the very beginning. It must just be me 🤷‍♀️

I think she is trying to do the best she can after her arse of hubby vanished putting her through shit.

Yes she's dreadful

Not just me! She's so rude and all that hysterical rushing off and no thought for the consequences (e.g. the murder trial). All that gurning, lying on tables, hair flicking. But I still like the programme

purpleme12 Me too, I could watch her in anything.
I like her style of acting and she doesn't bore me to tears like some other actresses who are never off the tele.
